✏️THREE THINGS THE ANOINTING IS FOR

_“It is like the dew of Hermon falling on the mountains of Zion. For there the LORD has appointed the blessing — life forevermore.”_ Psalms 133:3 (CSB)

REMEMBER:
We cannot practically talk about living from above the mountain tops without a firm understanding of what the Anointing of God is. The term ‘Anointing’ amongst many things primarily refers to ‘Consecration; Empowerment; Distinction for Office’. This basic definition gives us an idea of what it means to be anointed by God. As Christians, we are all anointed by the Holy Spirit - that is, consecrated unto God and His Righteousness (His Way of being and doing). This empowering separation/distinction is an all-important factor in walking with God and essentially living the Good Life. _[Pause. Think about it!]_

Now, the very first thing the Anointing of the Holy Spirit is for is: “Receiving the Word of God”. It will be practically impossible for one to receive (perceive, discern, understand) God’s Word without the action of the anointing. John tells us, “…the wonderful anointing you have received from God…now lives in you…His anointing teaches you all that you need to know, for it will lead you into Truth, not a counterfeit. So just as the anointing has taught you, remain in Him.” ‭1 John 2:27 (TPT‬).

The second thing the Anointing is for is: “Believing the Word of God”. You see, not everyone who hears God’s Word believes it. Apostle Paul told us, “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the Glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NLT). Finally, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is for: “Experiencing the Word of God - manifesting what it talks about” as seen in…

✏️LIVE FROM ABOVE THE MOUNTAIN TOPS

_“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:”_ Deuteronomy ‭28‬:‭1‬-‭2 ‬

REMEMBER:
Isn’t our opening verse such a beautiful promise of God; He says, “…the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God” Hallelujah! For us who are born again, He already calls us obedient Children (1 Peter 1:13-14); therefore all of that promise has been actualized in our lives, and the Holy Spirit guides us in enjoying it (Ephesians 1:13-14). Glory to God! Each one of us was born into this Blessing when we were born again, as joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:15). That’s something to shout about.

I recently heard a preacher read the Scripture Joel 2:23 (KJV) and rightly explained that this was God saying all His miracles in the Old Testament were simply moderate displays of His Glory. Now, think on that for a bit, imagine all the wonderful miracles as seen in the Old Testament that seem so surreal, yet God says there will be more and greater - in our time. Our Lord Jesus exactly corroborated this Truth when He said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12. Glory to God! _[Pause. Think about it!]_

The man of God Rev. Chris Oyakhilome DSc. DSc. DD. in one of His recent appearances said, “Until you become a miracle worker, then you don’t truly believe in Jesus.” How true…

✏️LIVING FROM ABOVE THE MOUNTAIN TOPS

_“Even young people get tired, then stumble and fall. But those who trust the Lord will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings _[far above the mountain tops]_; they will walk and run without getting tired.”_ Isaiah 40:30-31

REMEMBER:
We’ve been called to live beyond the natural realms of life as humans know it. Living from above the mountain tops refers to enjoying the wonderful privileges of Life in Christ that go beyond the systems of this world and natural limitations; this requires a clear-cut understanding of God’s Ways (His Will and Purposes) as seen yesterday. You have the full potential and capacity to improve your life each day through an adequate understanding of God’s Word; therefore, give yourself to it. “Wisdom is required to build a house; Understanding is necessary to make it secure. Knowledge is needed to furnish all the rooms and fill them with beautiful treasures.” Proverbs 24:3-4 (VOICE).

Our Lord Jesus said concerning those who are merely religious - not growing in spiritual understanding - that “For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’” ‭Matthew 13:15‬. But if you’re born again and studying God’s Word, then that’s not you. Glory to God! Let your heart be merry, “…Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given…Blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;” ‭Matthew 13:11, 16. Glory to God! This means we have been empowered with all the Know-‬How required to live a life beyond this world…

✏️DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

_“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God”_ ‭Ephesians 2:19 ‬

REMEMBER:
What our opening verse announces to you is the most wonderful news one could ever hear - you are a member of God’s household. Cheer up. Glory to God! Our Lord Jesus said to His disciples, “…Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven…Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see;” Luke ‭10‬:‭20‬, ‭23‬. Now, being a member of God’s distinguished family comes with lots and lots of privileges - the highest privileges thinkable in all the universe both now and forever.

The Bible says, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us ALL THINGS that pertain to Life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by Glory and Virtue, by which have been given to us EXCEEDINGLY GREAT and PRECIOUS Promises, that through these you may be PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭4‬. What an honor! You are now a privileged member of the distinguished Godhead - an associate of the God-kind with all benefits and powers included - that’s what that Scripture is saying. Glory to God!

The Scriptures tell us that although we all as Christians have been brought to this place of honor and glory, some still suffer simply because, “They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable. I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.” ‭Psalms 82:5-6. There is a ‬‭very great need for increasingly Understanding ‬‭the Word of God - the Gospel - in order to…

✏️THE PROBLEM OF IGNORANCE

_“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”_ Hosea ‭4‬:‭6‬

REMEMBER:
The very first thing to note about Ignorance is the fact that it’s not an excuse; in our opening verse, God says the people are actually being destroyed - it’s not a rehearsal. This is truly serious. Apostle Paul said, “This is why many of you are sick and weak and why a lot of others have died.” 1 Corinthians ‭11‬:‭30‬ ‭(CEV‬). You must know God - in knowing His Word. A certain prophet in the Old Testament named Agur, said, “God, I’m so weary and worn out, I feel more like a beast than a man. I was made in your image, but I lack understanding. I’ve yet to learn the wisdom that comes from the full and intimate knowledge of you, the Holy One.” ‭Proverbs 30:2-3 (TPT). That’s really what it is like to be ignorant, you tend to live below the value of who you truly are. It’s time to get Wisdom - the full and intimate Knowledge of God. The Bible says, “Leave the company of ignorant people, and live. Follow the way of knowledge.” Proverbs‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭(GNB). _[Pause. Think about it!]_ ‬

Acts 17:30 tells us, “In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” Every day can be fruitful. Let’s analyze Psalms 82. The TPT puts it very beautifully and makes it quite straightforward to assimilate. It says, “All rise! For God now comes to judge as he convenes heaven’s courtroom. He judges every judge and rules in the midst of the gods, saying, “How long will you judges refuse to listen to the voice of true justice…? Defend the defenseless, the fatherless and the forgotten, the disenfranchised and the destitute. YOUR DUTY is to deliver the poor and the powerless; liberate them from the grasp of the wicked. BUT you continue in your darkness and IGNORANCE while the foundations of society are shaken to…

✏️YOU CAN DEAL WISELY

_“This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have Good Success.”_ ‭Joshua 1:8 (AMPC‬)

REMEMBER:
Throughout the Epistles of the New Testament, we find Apostle Paul constantly praying for God’s people that they would be filled with the Spirit of Wisdom; that’s because of how important it is to our lives as individuals who ought to Succeed in Life - our Success pleases God well. The Bible tells us, “Happy [blessed, considered fortunate, to be admired] is the man who finds [skillful and godly] wisdom, And the man who gains understanding and insight [LEARNING FROM GOD’S WORD and life’s experiences], For wisdom’s profit is better than the profit of silver, And her gain is better than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies; And nothing you can wish for compares with her [in value]. Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are highways of pleasantness and favor, And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her…everyone who holds her tightly.” ‭Proverbs 3:13-18 (AMP‬). _[Pause. Think about it!]_

Reading further in Chapter 24 of the same book, God tells us that “Through [skillful and godly] wisdom a house [a life, a home, a family] is built, And by understanding it is established [on a sound and good foundation], And by knowledge its rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong, And a man of knowledge strengthens his power; For by wise guidance you can wage your war, And in an abundance of [wise] counselors there is victory and safety.” ‭Proverbs 24:3-6 (AMP‬). ✏️HE DIED FOR FAMILY

_“The Grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Love of God and the Presence and Fellowship (the Communion and sharing together, and participation) in the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen (so be it).”_ ‭2 Corinthians 13:14 (AMPC‬)

REMEMBER:
In the previous days, we’ve talked so much about offering Generational Prayers for your earthly heritage (family, friends, nation), which is a very important thing. Now, let’s look at something even more important - your heavenly heritage, your family in Christ, which is your primary family once you are born again. We saw our Lord Jesus offer generational Prayers for this heavenly family just before His death (John 17:20), clearly demonstrating to us that that’s why He was going to the cross to die - He died for Family. That is why “…the Presence and Fellowship…” in the Holy Spirit is such an important thing for the Child of God as seen in our opening Scripture.

The Bible shows us that our Lord Jesus became the mediator between God and man, thereby reconciling man back to God as one would do for a separated family. 2 Corinthians 5:18 says, “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ…” and Our Lord Jesus in His prayer said He came so that we can get to know the Father; as it is written, “And this is Eternal Life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3. Glory to God! _[Pause. Think about it!]_

So, two things here: He reconciled us to the Father and He made it possible for us to get acquainted with (to know) the Father. Those are the two major things our Lord Jesus came to do. His death made the reconciliation possible; and because He resurrected and ascended, now the Holy Spirit makes the acquaintance possible. Yes, it is possible for you to really truly…

✏️LEARN TO PRAY GENERATIONAL PRAYERS

_“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;”_ ‭John 17:20 ‬

REMEMBER:
So many people are very acquainted with such things as ‘generational curses’; but did you know that what our Lord Jesus brought and showed to us was ‘Generational Blessings’ which can be ensured through ‘Generational Prayers’?! As a Child of God that is your part and should be your predominant consciousness. Observe closely what He said in His own prayer in our opening verse (read it again); He prayed both for the disciples before Him and for all who would be born again through them across the Church age; that’s why the answer to His prayer still resonates throughout the Church world today. He showed us there that our Prayers can go beyond the present generation and directly affect generations yet unborn. It’s time for you to do the same. _[Pause. Think about it!]_

The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians ‭5‬:‭17‬. So now that you are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians ‭5‬:‭21), having already been justified (declared guiltless) by Faith, it’s important to totally and completely turn your Focus to Generational Blessings as described for us in the Scriptures and then you’ll have the knowledge, wisdom, and prudence to deal wisely in mitigating your way beyond the patterns of failure and destruction that might have plagued your earthly heritage (lineage) for generations. The Bible says, “A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.” Proverbs 22:3. God said to Abraham, “I will bless you and make you a blessing to others; you and your seed after ‬you” (Genesis 12:2). You are the…

✏️THAT SAME SPIRIT

_“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”_ ‭Romans 8:11 ‬

REMEMBER:
What our opening verse declares is really a cornerstone for the glorious life in Christ. It’s a cornerstone for walking in divine health and vitality as a Christian - completely living beyond the physical human limitations that hold back most people. Understanding this revelation is a guarantee to your health. In the same light of our opening verse, Saint John the Divine tells us, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John ‭4‬:‭4‬. Yes, you’ve overcome ‘them’ - every disease, sickness, circumstance, entity, adversity, adversary, germ, bacteria, virus, etc - simply because of Him that is in you. _[Pause. Think about it!]_

The one in You is THAT SAME SPIRIT that gave our Lord Jesus victory over satan and all his cohorts, eventually raising Him from the dead. How powerful! You no longer need to struggle to please God or live a good life; instead, you can focus on taking full advantage of the Presence and Influence of the Holy Spirit living within you. Zechariah 4:6 says, “‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.” It’s time to give yourself more and more to the exercise of godliness as it is the way by which you can indulge this Spiritual Power and take full advantage of its Supernatural Blessings. Our Lord Jesus told us, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12. Wow!

✏️IT’S BY THE SPIRIT

_“Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”_ 1 John ‭3‬:‭24‬

REMEMBER:
There is no Christianity without the Holy Spirit. He is the one by whom the Church of Jesus Christ was initiated. In Matthew 3:11 John the Baptist said, “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” This immediately reveals to us that undertaking water baptism is not the ultimate seal of your belonging to Christ, but it is the presence and influence of the Holy Spirit in your life. This is why Apostle Paul said, “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [but seek to please Him], by whom you were sealed and marked [branded as God’s own] for the day of redemption [the final deliverance from the consequences of sin].” ‭Ephesians 4:30 (AMP‬). The Holy Spirit of God in your life is the ultimate seal. _[Pause. Think about it!]_

Now you might be reading this and wondering, what if someone is going to Church, baptized in water, but doesn’t know about the Holy Spirit? Well, Apostle Paul had an encounter with some people like that. In Acts 19:1-6 (AMP) the Bible tells us , “It happened that while Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went through the upper [inland] districts and came down to Ephesus, and found some disciples. He asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed [in Jesus as the Christ]?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” And he asked, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” Paul said, “John performed a baptism of repentance, continually telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is…

✏️HE CANNOT SIN!

_“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”_ 1 John ‭3‬:‭9‬

REMEMBER:
The Word of God in our opening verse is very clear; the AMP translation gives us more perspective, it says, “No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again—who is reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him.” (‭1 John 3:9). Yes, one who is born again is anointed by God (consecrated) - that is, he is separated from the life of sin unto God and godliness. It is your continual consciousness and affirmation of ‬these Truths that cement and manifest them in your life. That’s what the anointing is for. _[Pause. Think about it!]_

“Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He _(Christ Jesus)_ was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices Righteousness is Righteous, just as He is Righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” 1 John ‭3‬:‭4‬-‭9‬. Notice that line, the reason whoever has been born of God does not sin is that “…His seed remains in him…”; that is, God’s seed, which is…

✏️IT’S NOT A SURPRISE

_“Do not marvel, my brethren, if the world hates you.”_ 1 John ‭3‬:‭13‬

REMEMBER:
Our Lord Jesus said to us, “Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” ‭Matthew 5:7-12. Don’t let it come as a surprise to you when others look down on you, criticize you, discriminate against you, or even launch out direct attacks of all sorts at you because you’re on fire for the things of God. ‬

When such happens, simply remind yourself of the words our Lord Jesus spoke above; He said you are Blessed for it. He said to Rejoice in it. The word ‘Blessed’ that He used means, “to be supremely blessed, fortunate, well off, and happy”. Therefore, instead of fighting back or trying to defend yourself when others revile you, what you do is: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” ‭Matthew 5:16. Yes, shine even brighter. Do even much more. Exaggerate your Love for God and your expression of Faith in His Word. Don’t let someone else dim your light. See, He told us, “Remember Lot’s wife. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life _[for my sake]_ will preserve it.” Luke 17:32-33. _[Pause. Think about it!]_ ‬
