🌱 How Much Does 1 Tree Cost in Cameroon?

Every tree tells a story. Every tree fights climate change. Every tree nourishes communities.

💰 All-in cost for 1 tree: $20–$30 USD (~14,000–21,000 FCFA)

Breakdown:

🌱 Seedling: ~$2.50 USD

🚚 Transport: ~$0.60 USD

👩‍🌾 Planting & Labour: ~$15–20 USD

🔍 Monitoring & Early Care: ~$5–7 USD

With $20–$30, you’re not just planting a tree — you’re:

Restoring ecosystems 🌿

Providing shade & cooling ☀️

Supporting local communities 🍐

Protecting indigenous species 🍊

Imagine the impact of 100 trees… 1,000 trees… 15,000 trees.
Each one counts. Each one matters.

🌱 Be part of the change. Plant a tree. Grow a legacy.

Celebrating Love how we know best!

All I seek is to mark this milestone with gratitude—
gratitude to God, who fashioned me in love, placed me in this beautiful world, and called me to walk the path of a Mill Hill missionary.

This is my humble offering: to give back to the earth that has carried us,to safeguard the beauty of creation,
and to ensure that the wonders we delighted in as children are not lost, but handed on—alive and flourishing—to generations yet unborn.

How shall I repay the Lord for all His goodness to me?
Who am I, and what is my lineage,
that He has brought me this far?

Fifteen years of priestly service.
Fifteen thousand trees—mostly indigenous fruit trees, now quietly disappearing—
standing as living witnesses of hope.
Fifteen years of collaboration, of shared dreams,
and of inviting hearts and hands to help make this vision real.

I invite you to be part of this story:
plant a tree, sponsor its nurturing,
or place your hands in the soil and help it grow.

In a few weeks—on the 5th of March—we begin the countdown.
A journey of gratitude.
A promise to creation.

Happy Valentine’s Day Beloved

🌿 “Fifteen years of priestly service. Fifteen thousand trees.”

This simple phrase tells a deep story — a legacy grounded in faith and growing in green.

15 years ago, a calling began — to serve, to guide, to love.
Today, that calling has rooted in the soil of thousands of saplings and hundreds of hearts.
15,000 trees planted. New habitats growing. Cleaner air for our families. 🌳

This journey has been more than a tally — it’s been transformation.
Comment below with a 🌱 if you believe our future is greener together!

FYI to our community, climate change is becoming a real hazard… should we do a video about this?

Last night, I heard a very thunderous wind, could have gone on for about 15mins or so. Fear gripped me, worry consumed me and the anxiety I felt in that moment was crippling. As I was deep asleep, the thunderous sounds of the wind carrying sand and displacing things from outside was starting to wake me up.

Could this be the end of the world? I thought vaguely… quick flashes in my unconscious mind of some of the devastating effects of climate change were running through. In the last year we had Malawi, we had Buea, we had all these hurricanes and destruction. People loosing their homes, their property, their lives was all I could think of. I never felt so scared 😱 because for the first time, I was experiencing a 15mins play of just a fraction of what these affected areas had experienced.

I quickly forced myself up to try to look out of the window, watching out for my car and just for peoples roofs if anything was being damaged. But the sand from the wind blowing towards me quickly got me to shut the windows. I hoped this was just a dream, a figment of my sub-conscious imagination because I had been paying a lot of attention to heat waves lately… but no it wasn’t…
That was my night breaking morning today…. Who else in Douala in the areas of Bonaberi can relate ?
