Tragedy at Government Bilingual High School Kribi Rural: Two Students Found Dead in Lokoundjé
Shock and grief have engulfed Village 1 of Socapalm/Kienké in the Lokoundjé subdivision, Ocean Division (South Region), following the discovery of the lifeless bodies of two students from the Government Bilingual High School Kribi Rural. Reported missing since Monday, February 23, the young girls were found on Wednesday in a marshy bush area, already in a state of decomposition.
The victims have been identified as Zeh Eyamo Anaïs Sidonie, 17, a Lower Sixth (Première) Spanish student, and Anonina Dili Anna, 22, a Form Three student. According to initial medical observations carried out at the scene, they are believed to have suffered severe abuse before being killed.
According to witnesses, it was a child who, disturbed by a foul smell near a pigsty, made the grim discovery. Residents alerted the authorities, and a Deputy State Counsel, accompanied by security forces, visited the scene. The bodies were later transferred to the mortuary of the Kribi Regional Annex Hospital.
An investigation has been opened to shed light on this double homicide, which has left the families and the educational community in deep shock.
