When I turned 15, life took me somewhere new.

Story of my life3

I moved to Douala.

I was still young, but I had already learned that nobody was coming to save me. I had to learn how to survive and take care of myself.

I started hustling.

I worked wherever I could. I did whatever I could to put food on my table and build a future for myself.

I was young, but life had forced me to grow up quickly. Years passed.

Then I met someone.

My first love.

The man who would become the father of my child.

At first, I believed I had finally found the happiness I had been searching for.

I dreamed of a beautiful family.

I dreamed of love, peace and a home where my child would grow up surrounded by happiness.

But sometimes, life doesn’t follow the plans we make. Things slowly changed.

The relationship became toxic.

I tried to hold on.

I tried to make things work.

I told myself that maybe tomorrow would be better.

But deep inside, I knew I couldn’t spend the rest of my life living in a place that was destroying my peace.

One day, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life. I have to leave.”

It wasn’t because I didn’t care.

It was because I finally realized that I had to care about myself too. I went back to my father’s house.

But instead of finding the comfort I needed, I found judgment.

People mocked me.

People talked.

Some made me feel like leaving my marriage was a failure.

I cried. Why does life keep testing me?”

I felt broken.

I had already sacrificed so much.

And now I felt like I had failed again.

But somewhere inside me, there was still a little voice saying:

“Don’t give up.”

To be continued ❤️

My story part2
My story was not the childhood I dreamed of.

I lost opportunities.

I carried responsibilities too young.

I watched my father struggle.

But we survived.

And today, I know that my past does not define me.

My mom later died in 2008 without getting to see her children

I drop out of school at primary 6

It made me stronger.

“Sometimes life doesn’t give you the childhood you deserve. But the strength you gain from surviving it can become the foundation of the person you were meant to become.”
