ASAF Cameroon, a Foundation owned by philanthropist, Eran Moas, has launched a writing competition for children between 8 and 16 years. The initiative is being led by the foundation’s Ambassador, award-winning writer and winner of the 2020 Goncourt des Lycéens Prize, Djaïli Amadou Amal.
This maiden national writing competition is aimed at stimulating the creativity of the children while providing a platform for them to share their dreams and visions of the future.
The theme of the writing competition is “Telling Tomorrow”.
Children have the possibility to create stories, tales, poems, or personal accounts that surrounds around the theme and submit on or before August 31, 2025. Those who can send their articles online should use the email [email protected].
The winners will be announce dearly September with five major prizes to give including Laptops, Tablets, school uniforms, books, money and other school kits.
The competition is not limited to material support; it also aims to nurture essential skills. Creative writing strengthens reading, language proficiency, and the ability to organise ideas. It also encourages critical thinking and imagination, enabling young people to reflect on the dreams, challenges, and the world they wish to build.
