Updates on the 25th Anniversary of the Promulgation of the Provincial Pastoral Plan of the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province .
The President of the Provincial Pastoral Council, His Grace Andrew Fuanya Nkea in his opening Speech welcomed all present for this great celebration.
Arch Bishop Nkea applauded the efforts of the Priests, clergy and Lay leaders of the Dioceses noting that the Pastoral plan is synodality in other words because the Provincial Pastoral plan is all about communion, Participation and mission towards achieving the primary goal of evangelization which makes sure that Christ is preached.
Arch Bishop Nkea noted that , the Provincial Pastoral plan had envisaged Synodality and so the Bamenda Ecclesiastical Province has gone very far in the implementation of Synodality.
The President acknowledged that not all the Dioceses are on the same wave length as the implementation of the plan is concerned but then all are putting hands on deck to effectively implement the plan that has reshaped the Pastoral life of the Province for the past 25 years.
The event coincides with the 1,700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed and falls within the context of the Synod on Synodality.
We are all on mission. Go to the whole world and proclaim the Good News," the Archbishop stated. He emphasized that everyone, in their various roles, is called to live in communion and partake in the missionary mandate of evangelization. "Every family is called to be on board to preach the Word of God," he added.
The Arch Bishop called on all to work with zeal, love and Enthusiasm so that together with everyone involved, we can reap the fruits of the Provincial Pastoral plan.
The culmination of the celebration of the anniversary is set for Thursday, July 24th, marked by a Pontifical Mass at 9:00 AM.
