My wedding is next month.

Yesterday my sister called and asked if she could make a “special announcement” during the reception.

Turns out she’s pregnant.

I congratulated her but told her I’d rather she have her own moment instead of sharing mine.

She said I was selfish because family milestones should be celebrated together.

Now my mom says I’m making unnecessary drama.

I don’t hate the idea of people knowing.

I just don’t want my wedding turning into a pregnancy reveal.

My toddler was falling asleep last night as his dad texted me “Do we need anything from the store?”

So I asked my son. “Do you need anything from the store?” He’s 2.

He replied “I need a widdle tiny lawn mower.” I relayed the message to his dad.

“He needs a widdle tiny lawn mower.”

45 min later, Dad walked into our bedroom and set down a kid’s lawn mower next to the bed.

My friend ended her 7 month relationship because the guy’s mom woke her up at 1 a.m. for midnight prayer.

This babe came back and broke up with the guy, stating that she doesn’t want to inherit unknown family spiritual battles and that she is not a prayer warrior.

It happened that this guy she had been dating for 7 months had started talking about marriage, and his mom invited her to their family house to get to know her better.

So on her first night sleeping over there, the guy’s mum woke her up around 1 a.m. for midnight prayer.

She said they prayed from 1–3 a.m., with the mum “kabbashing” and praying against so many spirits fighting against her son and the family.

She said after the morning prayer, they still went for morning mass at 6 a.m., and when they got back, she faked an emergency and left.

She then called the guy and explained that she cannot continue with the marriage plans.

My husband and I were having a very spontaneous afternoon session yesterday.

We were completely locked in.

Suddenly, the phone on the bedside table started vibrating violently.

It was my husband's phone.

He ignored it. We kept going, I was told they will take me to a Cloud that is more than Cloud 9.

The phone rang again and again like five times consecutively. Tell me if this is not winches and w!zard at work, why call that time.

My husband finally got annoyed. He picked it up on speaker while still holding me.

"Hello! Who is this?!" he snapped, breathing heavily.

A loud voice boomed through the speaker.

"Oga! I am at your gate with the dispatch ride! The security man said nobody is answering! Is anyone alive inside that house?!"

We froze.

The guy's voice was so loud that it killed the vibe of our spontaneous session.

My husband, still out of breath, stammered, "Drop... drop it with the mallam. I am busy."

The dispatch rider paused. Then he cleared his throat.

"Ah, Oga. Sorry o. I can hear the background heavy breathing. Ride on, sir. God bless your family."

The line went dead.

I buried my face in the pillow. I wanted the ground to swallow me alive.

We couldn't even continue the session. The vibe was completely ruined by a random delivery man giving us his pastoral blessings that we didn't ask for. 😂

I just wished his phone was on airplane mode, those 2 ruined everything, the cloud they were to take to fuel finished on the way.😏😂
