🚨 WANTED: Suspect at Large in Serious Criminal Investigation 🚨

Authorities are currently searching for an 80-year-old man identified as Pa Foy Njuh Abdoulaye, who is wanted in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Aghem, Wum.

According to preliminary reports, the suspect, who was previously dismissed from the Ndughu-te-tsong noble society, allegedly used manipulative means to lure and assault the minor. He is currently on the run, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend him.

Further reports indicate that the suspect has also been linked to ongoing controversies surrounding the mysterious death of Aghem youth, Mr. Ngum Julius Nchia, whose body was discovered in Takum, Nigeria, in late February 2026. Authorities have not yet confirmed any direct connection, and investigations remain ongoing.

⚠️ Public Advisory:

Anyone with credible information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect is strongly urged to contact local law enforcement immediately. The public is advised not to approach the individual.

This remains a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

What was supposed to be a proud display of Aghem heritage has instead become a glaring example of political exploitation. It is a sad irony when indigenous people must be "sponsored" to visit their own ancestral home, funded by 2,000,000 FCFA intended to buy the loyalty of those struggling to make ends meet(people known for their failures in life as hawkers).

The ambition of US-based Chi Anthony Anang—seemingly desperate for a leadership comeback after his defeat in the AFADA North American elections—has once again resulted in a public fiasco. The event was marred by broken promises and "pay-to-play" optics:
- The organisers suggest that 2 Million FCFA was spent specifically to transport individuals who serve as ASODDA’s "propaganda machines" in various forums. These are people ready to milk a few francs from power-mongers at the expense of their own dignity.
- In a heartbreaking turn, young football players were promised nearly 600,000 FCFA in prize money, only to be handed a measly 10,000FCFA for winners, 7,000 FCFA for Second position and 3,000FCFA for third position at the end. Their frustration is caught on video, with many now openly declaring that "ASODDA is a scam and the youths do not want ASODDA" and demanding they leave Aghem.

This isn’t an isolated incident. From the failed palace relocation to the Waabang palace recognition into Ndughu-kwifoy disgrace, it appears that everything Chi Anthony touches turns into an embarrassment for the Aghem people.
Aghem culture is not for sale, and our youth are not political tools. From the broken promises on the football field to the manipulation of our traditions, it is clear that ASODDA’s current direction is a disgrace to the village. We must ask: how many more "fiascos" must we endure before we demand real leadership?

On 27 December 2025, the Menchum SDO was seen dressed in traditional regalia by the Natum(Queen Mother) of Wajung and the Natum of Magha during a grand cultural festival in Wum associated with ASODDA. This has led many Aghem people to ask if Menchum and Wum particuler ha become the safe heaven for illegality outrightly supported by bot traditional and civil asministrators?

The DO for Wum Central reportedly issued authorization for a grand cultural event scheduled from 24 to 27 December 2025 through the Fon of Magha, in the name of Ndughu Kwifoy, the traditional governing body of Aghem. Yet during the event, the decorations and honors appeared to be made in the name of ASODDA—an association whose legality many community members strongly contest, and which is said to have been registered in the Mifi Division, Bafoussam, using fraudulent addresses.

Aghem Daily News ponder:
- If the traditional governing body seek administrative authorization for cultural events, does this mean palace rites will now always require such approval?

What worries many even more is that a major clan cultural event is taking place without ACADA, the mother development and cultural association of the clan.

This situation raises serious questions in the minds of Aghems:
- Why is an association whose status is contested playing a central role in major cultural activities?
- Why is the traditional governing body involved in events many believe are promoted under the banner of ASODDA rather than ACADA?
- How much do administrative authorities know about these controversies, and what is their role in addressing them?

Many Aghem people feel these developments risk undermining confidence in both traditional and administrative institutions.

Electrification or "Ghost Project"? PPRD Contract Under Fire as Deadline Hits ⚡🚨

MENCHUM DIVISION – As the calendar turns to the end of December 2025, the residents of Fungom, Weh, and Wada axis are asking one question: Where is the light? On August 1st, 2025, the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development (PPRD) awarded a massive 224,924,628 FCFA phase 1 contract to Ltd for a high-priority electrification network. With a strict 4-month ex*****on window, the project should be completed today. Instead, it has become a lightning rod for concerns over how public money is being spent in the North West.

Findings made by Aghem Daily News into Twinlex Ltd reveals a startling business profile. Far from being an engineering powerhouse, the company owned by Kongnyu Paul Jato appears to be a trade entity focused on:
• Selling: Ginger, cocoa, onions, coffee, and cotton.
• Buying: Fertilizer, spaghetti, baking flour, and used household items.
The public is now asking: How does a company that trades in onions and used cars qualify to build a complex high-voltage electricity network? Does "Twinlex Ltd" have the certified electrical engineers, specialized equipment, or the technical safety record required for a 224 million FCFA infrastructure project?

The contract was awarded via an "Emergency Procedure." While the PPRD claims this accelerates development in conflict zones, critics argue it serves as a "backdoor" to bypass rigorous vetting. By avoiding open competitive tenders, the government risks handing sensitive infrastructure to less qualified companies, potentially linked to political patronage.

Building a functional grid across three localities in just 120 days is a feat for specialists. For a company with no visible track record in heavy energy infrastructure, the risk is high:

- Will the poles stand but the wires remain dead?
- Are we seeing the same "shoddy work" that has plagued other emergency contracts?
- Infrastructure built by non-specialists poses a direct fire and electrocution risk to the community.

The PPRD and the steering committee led by Minister Paul Tasong must provide the public with a technical audit of this project. Transparency is not an "option"—it is the only way to ensure that the 224 million FCFA meant for the people of Menchum hasn't simply vanished into a "paper project."
