🔴 Was put on the bench in 2017 during the finals against Egypt 🇪🇬 , came on to score the winning goal for Cameroon 🇨🇲

🔴 Was kept on the bench in 2022 at the world cup against Serbia 🇷🇸 , came on and scored a worldie, and set up another for a historic Cameroonian come-back

🔴 Was put on the bench against Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, but came on to give Cameroon another mouthwatering draw, which Cameroon went on to win the third place in the penalty shootouts.

🔴 In 2022, he scored a late winner against Brazil, to give Cameroon a historic and Africa's first win against Brazil 🇧🇷 in the World cup. It was equally Cameroon's First win in the world cup after 20 years.

🔴 Became the first ever cameroonian to score 8 goals in a single AFCON campaign. Before 2022, he only had a single AFCON goal, but he now has 9 to his name.

He's not Moses, but he has taken Cameroon to the promised land every time he was called to do so...

Rigobert Song made his international debut on 22 September 1993, in a game against Mexico.

At only 17 years old, at the 1994 World Cup, Song received a red card in the match against Brazil, becoming the youngest player ever to be sent off in a World Cup.

Song participated at the 1998 World Cup and received a red card in the last game against La Roja, becoming the first player ever to be sent off at two different World Cups.

In the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations , Song became the most capped player in Cameroon history.

With 137 appearances, Song holds the record of the most capped player in the history of the Cameroon national team and has played in four World Cups 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2010.

Song also holds joined Record of 8 different AFCON participations.

Song holds the record of most consecutive games played in the African Nations Cup, with 35 first-team games. He won the Nations Cup twice in Nigeria 2000 and Mali 2002, losing to Egypt in the finals in Ghana 2008.

Rigobert Song as manager of the indomitable lions of Cameroon became the first ever coach to beat Brazil at a World Cup tournament .

He was just recently appointed head coach of the Central African Republic.
