Please as a young Minister of the gospel never make the mistake to submit to certain so called father's of faith because of crowd, fame or the miracles you see. Seek the face of God seriously, check out their lives in private and be sure they have the fruit of the spirit at work in them. If not hmmmmmmm, dear minister you will rest in pieces in the name of seeking for spiritual fatherhood or mentorship.

There exist some breed of wicked, mischievous and cunning "spiritual fathers" that you can never Excell or even make heaven under them.

If you don't know my story and you are a fanatic not deep in discernment Don't come here to comment anything foolish. Not everyone you call spiritual Father, my prophet, my major xyz is even a Christian. Some are just well package occu.lt people who have mastered the art of charismatic preaching.

By their fruits we shall know them. This is the highest way to know who is who amongst the shepherds you are exposed to.

DEALING WITH THE SPIRIT OF SLUMBER.
*Isaiah 56:10*
*His watchmen are blind, All of them know nothing. All of them are mute dogs unable to bark,*
*Dreamers lying down, who love to slumber;*

_Only a dog that sees a coming danger can bark. Blindness is the root of spiritual sleep._

The spirit of slumber is the spirit responsible for spiritual drowsiness and dullness. Blindness and deafness in the spirit leads to physically drain of life and resources.

Do you struggle to pray alone, do you fall asleep too often during prayers and bible reading?

Do you feel off or lost while listening to God in your quiet time? Then know that the spirit of slumber is attacking you.

HOW TO BREAK SPELL OF SPIRITUAL DEEP SLEEP FROM YOUR LIFE.

The Spirit of slumber must depart from your life if you will grow up spiritually. To ascend into the realms of power requires the shading off of the things that weighs you down like
- Sleep,
- Too much eating.
- Indiscipline talking
- Unhealthy emotions like anger, bitterness, jealousy or lust.
Jesus Christ spoke these words to 3 of his apostles in the garden of Gethsemane.
*“Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)*

Jesus made a deep revelation of the necessity to be watchful and not sleepy in life. Especially when you are facing resistance, battles or oppression, you shouldn't carelessly abandon your life to fate. You can change things if you stay awake, you can resist sleep and heaviness and create new stories about your life.
The devil will suggest to you that you are tired and should sleep while he gains time to tie you down. The adversary plants tares into your life during sleep. *Matthew 13:25-26 says*
_*25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.*_

HOW FASTING AND PRAYERS AWAKENS
- Spiritual sleep gives current momentary pleasure to you but gives future advantage to your adversary.

- Fasting and prayers remain the major key to break out of spiritual deep sleep and heaviness.
- Fasting and prayers remains the easiest way to break the spell of sleep and spiritual weakness.

- Fasting and prayers is one of the basic spiritual disciplines which has to be taught to believers. We live in a spiritual world and unless we are creating the atmosphere that keeps us constantly spiritually awake. We will score zero in the battlefield of life.

- Fasting and prayers will expose every wicked person with evil agenda around you. Your spirit man is the candle of your life, it can only shine when you light it up through spiritual discipline.
Every believer has spiritual eyes but not all see, some see sparingly while others are blinded. But when you engage in a journey of fasting with intentionality and fervency, you activates your spiritual eyes and spiritual life.
Most spiritually blind people can be very proud, the enemy makes them never see their real skeletal spiritual deprivity. They walk based on mental intelligence and understanding. Yet there are many things in life that will seem humanly reasonable but in the realms of the spirit it is nonsense.

When you are in spiritual slumber, you will be in relationship which you were never supposed to be in. You will be relating with who has been mandated to kill you without knowing, you will be eating on the table of death without discerning. You will be in a church where demonic or marine powers are used to manipulate people without knowing.

So dealing with spiritual slumber in your life is a must. *(Jeremiah 33:3)*

SIGNS OF SPIRITUAL SLUMBER.

If you have been unable to keep to prayer times, unable to fast, unable to keep spiritual commitment yet you can be awake to watch movies, awake while reading other books but can read the Bible. You feel bored in church but excited in environment where there is no real spiritual impact?, Then you now know what is keeping you down.

CONCLUSION
Let's fast, let's pray, let's watch and do as he commands.

The word of God series
Lesson #001 by

WHY YOU SHOULD HAVE DAILY TIME TO LEARN BIBLE PRINCIPLES.

If you can take small steps daily towards spiritual, financial, social or career development, then you can personally predict your tomorrow.

Success in the aforementioned areas of life are not born out of wishful thinking but deliberate commitment to persue one's vision.

Vision which is simply 'the mental image of a desired future' is only going to become achieved when we practice the principles that govern that domain of life.
Nevertheless, one thing that will propel us into unlimited success in any area of life is when we grow mentally on a daily basis. You should never go to your bed with the same level of knowledge (information) as you woke up. You cannot win today's battle operating with same level of understanding of yesterday. What was required for victory yesterday may be obsolete for today's problems. You must learn to upgrade and expand your level of understanding of life daily to secure unusual victory for today and tomorrow.

*Joshual 1:8*
'Keep this book of the law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful'.

In this verse, we notice the word 'then'. This word signify 'consequence' or 'result' of keeping always the book of the law on your lips - Prosperity and success. This daily confessions or practice of the law(principles) of the lord is based on the regular and consistent meditation of the word of God.
Remember that the word of God does not only address spirituality but also addresses finance, s*x, marriage, work, service, relationship and lots more . By implication, the topic or area of consistent meditation is an indication to what you will learn and practice most. This scriptural principles learned and applied regularly will be a prophecy of how and which domain you prosper.
The more of God's word we understand through the practice of meditation, and apply in a particular area of life management, it is in that area where we will succeed and prosper.

By way of CONCLUSION , one can be very successful in areas of spiritual disciplines like prayer, worship, healing, prophecy etc and be very broke financially just because they don't understand what God says about growing money.
One can be very financially stable but have poor health because they don't mediate and learn what the principles of health are from God's word.

This calls for a holistic approach to the study and practice of God's word.
The word of the Lord is a light unto your path and a lamp unto your feet.
The more of it you got the more direction you will have towards your desired future. But note that light for maritial success will not help you for some other areas.

*REFLECTION QUESTIONS*
1. What are the areas of your life now which brings you stress. (marriage, finance, house, family conflicts, job dissatisfaction, persecution etc)?

2. What does the Bible say about the specific stressors?

3. What Bible principles have you learned yet not practicing regularly to overturn your stress?

*PRAYER* .
Oh lord God I ask you to help me to love your word more than anything on earth. Fill me with hunger for the pure milk of your word.

THE CONQUERING CHURCH
Title:The Victorious Christian.
Main text: John 5:4-5

Main idea:
The victory of a christian is the result of new birth in Christ and the lifestyle of Faith.

Whenever we mention the word VICTORY, we are indirectly saying there has been a battle, opposition or resistance going on. So we have to figure out what is the fight which christian are in and who is their opponent?

In every battle, there is an opponent, in the case of the christian, we need to know what or who is his adversary, whom he is to overcome.

In our main text, THE WORLD is said to be what those born of God must overcome.

So what is the World? How does it constitue an enemy to the believer?

1. The world is not talking about the earth. The earth is the physical frame upon creation is established such as mountain, rivers, humans, houses, etc.
But the world talks of the system that controls humanity. It is the force behind why things happen the way they happen.

2.The world in 1 John 2:16 is define as ;
- THE LUST OF THE FLESH,
- THE LUST OF THE EYES.
- THE PRIDE OF LIFE.

Our enemy, the world has three main channels of deception, manipulation and control. These are the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes and the prod of life. These energy is what is referred to as THE WORLD. humanity has been repeatedly brought into captivity through this 3 gateways into a man's life.

These are the three coaches and mentors of every other sin in a man's life. Sin brings us into captivity and gives our opponent a legal right over us.

The temptations of Jesus in the wilderness clearly shows his satan uses these old gateways which he used to overcome Eve and Adam in the garden.

a. The Lust Of The Flesh. Matt 4
Jesus Christ overcame the temptation to use the power of God for his selfish and personal gain. Satan told him, "TURN THESE STONES INTO BREAD"
This is the temptation to use God's miraculous power for selfish reasons. We see many pastors who are turning stones into bread, as the use the gifts of God to manipulate and extort from people.
The Lust of the flesh is what will lead you into all form of s*xual immorality and debuchery.
Anytime you are more concern of what you will get after preaching, singing or ministering to people, then the lust of the flesh is your motivation. REPENT.

b. THE LUST OF THE EYES. Matt 4:8, Gen 3:6
The temptation to rule of the Kingdom of this earth.

The enemy showed Jesus the Kingdom of this world and said 'if you worship me i will give you'.
Satan understand how powerful the eyes gate are. He wanted jesus Christ to see and develop the desire. Job made a covenant with his eyes. The desire for things has led many into sorrow and captivity. It is this desire in most of our youths today that pushes them to become ritualist and scammers. They have high taste. May God deliver you from the lust of the eyes.

c. THE PRIDE OF LIFE
The temptation to prove that He was greater. God resist the proud but uplift the humble. The devil ask Jesus to jump from the high cliff so as to show himself powerful before men. Today many are facing this temptation to appear more important than others. Most denomination feels they are better than others, the 'I' is so active. Until we overcome this superiority complex we'll not please God. The kingdom of God belong to those who are like to children.

Some people are bitter and complain all the times because that is what they were educated to do. In their childhood, they saw a bitter and complaining mother, an ungrateful father who never value what others did to him and children complained about parents and vice versa.
So what had been engraved on the Tabular Raza of their lives are ingratitude, complains and negative emotions, leading to dysfunctional relationships. Even if you die to save them they will still find a reason to complain about your sacrific.

NB. Your childhood experiences May be having its toll on your relationships.
Let's learn to love people genuinely. Your love is only genuine when you continue to love your neighbors even when they offend you. Loving them in their weaknesses.
To always complain about people means you are seeing yourself as a perfect person which is false.
