Les gens disent que mon père a parrainé Coza. Ce n'est pas vrai, nous avons commencé dans la rue, je n'ai même pas attendu d'avoir une salle.

Certains personnes ignorantes disent que c'est du jazz. Qui peut soutenir le jazz pendant 22 ans? Le diable n'est pas si gentil.

Si vous attendez de tout voir avant de croire, vous ne verrez jamais rien concernant Dieu. Vous devez comprendre comment entrer dans les choses par la foi.

Ésaïe 25: 1-12 aurait dû être ma délibération mais à cause du temps, veuillez me permettre de lire le verset 9 et de courir. J'ai besoin de donner un peu de toile de fond à cela. Dans Actes 2, vers 9 heures du matin, les apôtres qui attendaient des jours dans la chambre haute se sont soudainement éclatés en langues et en gousses de feu tombaient sur la tête de chaque personne. Si ce qui s'est passé dans la chambre haute était la seule chose qui s'est produite, cela serait arrivé sans que quelqu'un sache, mais le Saint-Esprit ne se présentait pas comme le doux Dove, mais il est venu avec la ruée d'un vent puissant, comme un genre de sons maréchal.

Lorsque cela s'est produit, tout le monde a couru vers le temple et lorsque les disciples ont commencé à prier en langues, il y avait des gens qui disaient: «Quel est le sens de cela?» La Bible a dit que Peter se leva et répondit: «C'est ce qui a été parlé dans les Écritures par le prophète Joel». Joel 2: 28-32. Vous ne pouvez pas utiliser la vieillesse comme excuse. Dieu implique les jeunes et implique également l'ancien, il implique des hommes et aussi les femmes. Lorsque les disciples ont commencé à parler en langues, la Lune ne devenait pas rouge, mais dès que Peter a vu un signe, il a parlé et a reconnu Dieu. Vous n'en avez peut-être pas vu sa plénitude, mais cela arrive. S'ils ne parlaient pas et ne le gardaient pas pour eux, cette décision serait morteVous n'avez pas à attendre pour voir la plénitude de la manifestation. Dieu a dit à Élie: «Allez déclarer à Ahab que la pluie tomberait, il devrait courir à Jezreel». Il est allé à la montagne et a commencé à prier. Six fois, il a dit à son serviteur d'aller vérifier mais il n'a vu aucun nuage, cependant, la septième fois, il a vu un nuage comme le poing d'un homme. Imaginez à quel point le ciel était clair et il vient de voir un peu de nuage sombre. Elijah a dit: «Allez dire à Achab de courir maintenant». En attendant, lorsque le garçon a bougé, tout le nuage s'est rassemblé. Vous devez comprendre comment entrer dans les choses par la foi. Si vous attendez de tout voir avant de croire, vous ne verrez jamais rien concernant Dieu.

Lorsque vous marchez par la foi, vous impliquez Dieu dans votre vie, vous lui donnez la procuration pour opérer dans votre vie. Pourquoi Dieu ne pourrait-il pas faire Eve sans la côte d'Adam? Pourquoi ne pourrait-il pas nourrir le 5000 sans le déjeuner de ce petit garçon? Il dit: «J'en ai besoin parce que j'ai besoin que quelqu'un soit d'accord avec moi». Lorsque Pierre a reconnu que c'était la journée dont on parle, le Saint-Esprit a pris le relais. Ce qu'il a dit à cet endroit, il ne s'est pas préparé à cela. Allez vérifier le sermon de Pierre, qu'a-t-il dit que 3000 personnes ont donné leur vie à Christ?
-En le nom de Jésus, comme vous le reconnaissez, le Saint-Esprit prendra le contrôle de votre vie.

Philémon 1: 6. Pour que la communication de votre foi soit efficace, comment faites-vous? En reconnaissant qu'il est en vous à cause du Christ Jésus, non pas à cause du jeûne ou des bonnes œuvres que vous avez faites. Tout ce qui est à votre disposition parce que vous êtes en Christ Jésus, le reconnaissez, répétez-le, croyez-le. Laissant ce que vous croyez guider vos pensées et vos paroles est ce qui lui apporte du pouvoir. Évêque Oyedepo a dit il y a de nombreuses années, "la reconnaissance est le bouton de fonctionnement"». Si vous voulez qu'un système de conditionnement fonctionne, vous appuyez sur le bouton. Si vous voulez que votre voiture commence, vous appuyez sur le bouton. Ce qui rend tout ce que Christ a fait pour être à votre disposition, c'est quand vous commencez à les reconnaître. L'incrédulité arrêtera le mouvement de Dieu et la transformera en simple routine. Si vous ne marchez pas par la foi, vous renvoyez votre service et donnerez une simple routine.

1Corinthiens 15: 33 vous dit à l'avance: "Ne soyez pas trompé". La mauvaise communication ou la compagnie corrompt les bonnes manières. Si vous marchez avec des gens qui ne croient pas, avant de le savoir, vous ne croirez plus à la prière. Nombres 11:21. Si Dieu s'est séparé de la mer Rouge dans mon ministère, pas seulement pendant cinq minutes mais que la mer était immobile toute la nuit pour que 2,5 millions de personnes passent, comment pourrais-je penser que Dieu ne peut pas fournir de la viande? Moïse marchait déjà dans l'incrédulité. Nombres 20:20 Voir Dieu le gronder.

Un garçon a couru vers moi il y a quelque temps, il a dit qu'il venait de quelque part que je ne voulais pas mentionner. Il a dit: "La raison pour laquelle je cours maintenant, c'est parce que je suis tombé dans une pièce où notre pasteur ne laisse personne entrer et j'ai vu des choses que personne n'aurait dû voir, alors il veut me tuer". J'ai dit: «Vraiment? Les gens font ça ». Il a répondu qu'il était même choqué aussi parce qu'ils étaient les garçons qui organisent les miracles. J'ai dit: «Pourquoi voulez-vous détruire votre vie?». Un pasteur me l'a amené, le pasteur était à la périphérie de la ville où il se réfugiait. J'ai dit au pasteur de ne pas le croire parce qu'il n'y a personne dans ses sens droits qui abandonnerait Dieu et organisera des miracles, c'est l'incrédulité qui vous fait faire cela. C'est parce que vous ne savez pas que Dieu peut le faire.

Mon premier fils, a prié pour une année entière pour demander un frère et chaque fois qu'il priait, je lui dirai: "Tais-toi, arrête ça". Il dira: «Non, je ne veux pas être le seul garçon». Il a prié pour un garçon et l'a nommé à l'avance. Comment pensez-vous que ce garçon a ressenti quand, au moment étrange, je lui ai annoncé que sa mère était enceinte? Il a dit,"Ça va être un garçon". Comment pensez-vous qu'il a ressenti quand le bébé est sorti et que c'était un garçon? Savez-vous le jour où mon deuxième fils a été livré, mon premier fils était si malade de nulle part? Nous étions en Amérique et ils ne savaient pas comment traiter le paludisme. Nous l'avons emmené aux urgences en bas et on m'a dit que je devrais rester avec lui. Je me disais: "Ah, tu veux dire que je ne serais pas là quand ma femme accouche?". Savez-vous ce que j'ai fait? J'ai expliqué à mon fils que je devais monter à l'étage maintenant, je l'ai emmené à la voiture et j'ai couru à l'étage. Alors que je monte à l'étage, ma femme a livré un garçon, puis je me suis couru en bas pour lui dire que, dès que je lui ai dit, le paludisme est parti. C'est l'une des fondements de la foi dans sa vie. Si vous ne construisez pas les fondements de la foi dans votre vie, vous marcherez dans l'incrédulité. La personne la plus importante de votre vie est la personne qui nourrit votre foi. Si votre foi est en place, vous pouvez récupérer de tout. Vous pouvez récupérer de votre arrière-plan; Vous pouvez vous remettre de votre fondation.

Ne laissez aucun de vous avoir un mauvais cœur d'incrédulité, qui s'écarte du Seigneur. Lorsque vous vous éloignerez du Seigneur, vous donnerez de fausses prophéties, manipuliez les gens. Si vous êtes un vrai homme de Dieu, laissez le Seigneur le faire pour vous. Nous n'avons rompu aucune église, personne ne m'a parrainé. J'ai entendu des histoires sur la façon dont mon père a parrainé Coza, ce n'est pas vrai, nous avons commencé dans la rue; Je n'ai même pas attendu d'avoir une salle. Il y avait un gars auquel je prêchais pendant six heures et tous les deux jours pendant les deux semaines suivantes, je lui ai prêché cinq, quatre, trois heures. Nous avons tous deux été rompus. Un jour, sa mère a appelé et elle a dit: «Êtes-vous celui qui a prêché à mon fils? Qu'est-ce que vous lui avez dit? Tout ce que vous pouvez voir ici est venu par la foi. Les gens qui ne savent rien disent que c'est du jazz. Qui peut soutenir le jazz pendant 22 ans ?? Le diable n'est pas si gentil.

Hébreux 3: 7-19, Hébreux 4: 1-7. Puis-je vous faire savoir que Joshua est entré dans le reste, mais il ne pouvait pas transporter tout le monde dans le reste; Caleb est entré dans le reste mais il ne pouvait pas transporter tout le monde dans le reste. En ne croyant pas, en ne jouant pas leur rôle, ils ne pouvaient pas entrer dans le reste. Mathew 17: 19. L'incrédulité pense en dehors des Écritures. La foi est sur la même longueur d'onde avec Dieu malgré ce qui se passe autour de vous. La désobéissance équivaut à l'incrédulité.

SOME IGNORANT PEOPLE SAY IT IS JAZZ. WHO CAN SUSTAIN JAZZ FOR 22 YEARS? THE DEVIL IS NOT THAT NICE.

IF YOU ARE WAITING TO SEE EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BELIEVE, YOU WILL NEVER SEE ANYTHING CONCERNING GOD. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND HOW TO STEP INTO THINGS BY FAITH.

If you know that it is only Him that when men end, He starts there; if you know that He is the only one who can do the impossible, somebody, jump up and clap for him, give Him post-dated praise. Halleluyah!

Isaiah 25: 1-12 should have been my deliberation but because of time, please allow me to read verse 9 and run. I need to give a little backdrop to this. In Acts 2, at about 9am, the apostles that had been waiting for days in the upper room suddenly busted into tongues and cloves of fire dropped on each person’s head.. If what happened in the upper room was the only thing that happened, it would have happened without anybody knowing but the Holy Ghost showed up not as the gentle dove we portray him but He came with the rush of a mighty wind, like an earthquake kind of sound.

When that happened, everybody ran to the temple and when the disciples began to pray in tongues, there were people that said, ‘What is the meaning of this?’ The Bible said Peter stood up and replied, ‘This is that which was spoken in the Scriptures by the Prophet Joel’. Joel 2: 28-32. You can’t use old age as an excuse. God involves the young and also involves the old, He involves males and also the females. When the disciples began to speak in tongues, the moon didn’t turn red but as soon as Peter saw a sign, he spoke up and acknowledged God. You may not have seen the fullness of it but it is coming. If they didn’t speak up and just kept it to themselves, that move would have died.

You don’t have to wait to see the fullness of the manifestation. God said to Elijah, ‘Go and declare to Ahab that rain would fall, he should run to Jezreel’. He went to the mountain and began to pray. Six times, he told his servant to go and check but he didn’t see any cloud, however, the seventh time, he saw a cloud like the fist of a man.. Imagine how clear the sky was and he just saw a little dark cloud. Elijah said, ‘Go and tell Ahab to run now’. In the meantime, when the boy moved, the whole cloud gathered. You must understand how to step into things by faith. If you are waiting to see everything before you believe, you will never see anything concerning God.

When you are walking by faith, you are involving God in your life, you are giving Him the power of attorney to operate in your life. Why could God not make Eve without the rib of Adam? Why could He not feed the 5000 without the lunch of that little boy? He says, ‘I need that because I need someone to be in agreement with me’. When Peter acknowledged that it was the day spoken about, the Holy Ghost took over. What he said in that place, he didn’t prepare for it. Go and check the sermon of Peter, what did he say that 3000 people gave their life to Christ?
-In the name of Jesus, as you acknowledge, the Holy Ghost will take over your life.

Philemon 1: 6. When you are praying and prophesying, receiving things in the spirit, you are communicating faith, when you are preaching to people, you are communicating faith. For the communication of your faith to be effective, how do you do it? By acknowledging that He is in you because of Christ Jesus, not because of the fasting or good works that you did. Everything that is available to you because you are in Christ Jesus, acknowledge it, repeat it, believe it. Letting what you believe guide your thoughts and your words is what brings power to it.. Bishop Oyedepo said many years ago, ‘Acknowledgement is the button of operation’. If you want a conditioning system to work, you push the button. If you want your car to start, you push the button. What makes everything that Christ has done to be available to you is when you start to acknowledge them. Unbelief will stop the move of God and turn it to mere routine. If you are not walking by faith, will turn your service and giving to a mere routine.

1Corinthians 15: 33 tells you ahead of time, “Don’t be deceived”. Evil communication or companionship corrupts good manners. If you walk with people who don’t believe, before you know it, you won’t believe in praying anymore. Numbers 11:21. If God parted the red sea in my ministry, not just for five minutes but the sea stood still for the whole night for 2.5 million people to pass through, how could I think that God cannot provide meat? Moses was already walking in unbelief. Numbers 20:20 See God scolding him.

A boy ran to me sometime ago, he said he was from somewhere I don’t want to mention. He said, “The reason I’m running now is because I stumbled into a room where our pastor doesn’t let anybody enter and I saw things nobody should have seen so he wants to kill me”. I said, ‘Really? People do that’. He answered that he was even shocked too because they were the boys that arrange the miracles. I said, ‘Why do you want to destroy your life?’.. A pastor brought him to me, the pastor was on the outskirt of town where he was taking refuge. I told the pastor not to believe him because there is nobody in his right senses that will abandon God and be arranging miracles, it is unbelief that makes you do that. It is because you do not know that God can do it.

My first son, prayed for a whole year asking for a brother and each time he prayed, I’ll tell him, “Shut up, stop that”. He’ll say, ‘No, I don’t want to be the only boy’. He prayed for a boy and named him ahead of time. How do you think that boy felt when at the odd time I announced to him that his mum was pregnant? He said, ‘It’s going to be a boy’. How do you think he felt when the baby came out and it was a boy? Do you know the day my second son was delivered, my first son was so sick from nowhere? We were in America and they didn’t know how to treat malaria. We took him to the ER downstairs and I was told that I would have to stay with him. I was like, ‘Ah, you mean I wouldn’t be there when my wife is giving birth?’. Do you know what I did? I explained to my son that I had to go upstairs now, I took him to the car and I ran upstairs. As I got upstairs, my wife delivered a boy and then I ran downstairs to tell him that, as soon as I told him, the malaria left. It is one of the foundations of faith in his life. If you don’t build the foundations of faith in your life, you will be walking in unbelief. The most important person in your life is the person feeding your faith. If your faith is in place, you can recover from anything. You can recover from your background; you can recover from your foundation.

Don’t let any of you have an evil heart of unbelief, departing from the Lord. When you depart from the Lord, you will be giving fake prophecies, manipulating people. If you are a real man of God, let the Lord do it for you. We didn’t break from any church, nobody sponsored me. I have heard stories of how my father sponsored COZA, it’s not true, we started on the streets; I did not even wait to have a hall. There was a guy I preached to for six hours and every other day for the next two weeks, I preached to him for five, four, three hours. We were both broke.. One day his mum called and she said, “Are you the one that preached to my son? What did you tell him? He has changed. See, I don’t want you people to meet in the house, I have a place you can meet, that was how we got the first hall and we used it for free for almost a year”. Everything you can see here came by faith. People who don’t know anything will say it is jazz. Who can sustain jazz for 22 years? The devil is not that nice.

Hebrews 3: 7-19, Hebrews 4: 1-7. May I please let you know that Joshua entered into the rest but he couldn’t carry everybody into the rest; Caleb entered into the rest but he couldn’t carry everybody into the rest. By not believing, by not playing their role, they could not enter into the rest. Mathew 17: 19. Unbelief is thinking outside Scriptures. Faith is being on the same page with God in spite and despite what is happening around you. Disobedience is tantamount to unbelief.

EVERY BELIEVER SHOULD KNOW THIS!

IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND Apostle Joseph , you have to remember that in Acts 8, when Philip went down to Samaria with the gospel of Jesus Christ, it was not to speak many words. He went there as Paul went to Corinth, not with words of man's wisdom, but with the demonstration of the Spirit, and of power. The people of Samaria were so confused and awed by witchcraft, that they called it the power of God. Philip changed all that so much that the sorcerer himself, wanted to be saved

When Ayodele Joseph Babalola was raised by God in South West Nigeria in the year 1930; it was to silence witchcraft that had gripped men so viciously, and to turn them from the power of Satan to Jesus Christ. Many were saved. Men saw the raw power of God in manisfestation destroying the power of witches and wizards and obliterating fear and black magic from their lives. This man will clear a field in the forest for a crusade and the town will be waiting for him and his team to drop dead because it is an evil forest. Instead, witches will start confessing their evil works and crying out for Jesus, in the crusade.

There were thousands of miracles, and manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. People were able to interpret tongues, even though they had not been TAUGHT these things from the word. The lame walked and many with terminal diseases were healed. Many incredible things happened. Hospitals were emptied. Many came from most parts of Africa without TV or adverts. Joseph Babalola preferred to use water in the literal sense to bless and heal people. It was a demonstration of faith, NOT a doctrine. He was doing it to help the faith of the people in a way they could understand. He was not an academic person, and the people were not academic people. He knew little of the Bible. It was after the power of God came on him that he began to study the Bible.

BUT HE WAS A PRAYING MAN. It was basically a prayer revival, hence the term Aladura. Adura is prayer in Yoruba. Apostle Babalola could pray seated on one spot for three days. He would visit you and that prayer thing will just start and you will sleep and wake up, go out and come in, and the man of God will still be on that seat praying. And like Philip, there were several testimonies of God transporting this man from place to place supernaturally.

Now, like Peter and John came down to Samaria, God sent Sydney Granville Elton into this situation. He was 30 years when he came to Nigeria with the word in 1937. At some point, he tried to explain to Babalola that his vision of a rod and a bottle of water were symbols of God's authority and anointing respectively, but the apostle did not exactly agree. Perhaps, if he had, the people will have learned the word, moved up in faith, and not have been locked up in the doctrine of water, which is not what Apostle Babalola at all intended.

Sir Elton was a bastion of the gospel according to the word of God. He TAUGHT people from the word, about the Holy Spirit, the manifestations of the Holy Spirit, marriage, deliverance, and everything...from the word perspective. He was said to take a seat and speak living words like someone receiving a dictation from heaven. He once taught on deliverance and then conducted a once for all deliverance service for everyone there, and that was it. Those who had been ill, bound to spiritual and ancestral curses from their previous religions went on to become missionaries and pastors and full fledged saints. Many many miracles were recorded, both of salvation and healing.

GOD USED Pa Elton to bring the word into the power moves and ministries, so that they don't get carried away into spiritism and be able to judge all things by the word. Many men of God drank from that fountain. For instance, Gordon Lindsay (a wondeful man, and contemporary of Kenneth Hagin) told Pa Elton that he had a vision where he saw a black man kneeling before him. God told Pa Elton that the man was Benson Idahosa, and he told Lindsay. Lindsay asked for Idahosa to be sent to him, and that's how Idahosa went to Gordon Lindsay Bible school, and met TL Osborn, Oral Roberts and the others.

That brings us to Archbishop .

Many do not understand the difference between a thing and the abuse of a thing.

Likewise, many confuse the abuse of prosperity, with prosperity itself

IN THOSE DAYS, "pentecostal" churches with all the word, tongues and miracles were despised. They were called "mushroom" gospel churches. In 1976 when General Olusegun Obasanjo visited Bendel State as military head of state; civil servants, justices of the court and clergy, were there to welcome the head of state. The security men went to the queue to identify those waiting. Idahosa who was there, and introduced himself as Rev. Idahosa but they said he was not supposed to part of the dignitaries, that it was for bishops, those who were recognized by government. He was bundled out, and that day vowed that the church will be a force to be reckoned with. He saw that the "Pentecostals" were schemed out of things. He had this boldness and anointing to bring pentecostalism to national and international relevance. Elijah was the enemy of the kings in his time, but Elisha was called "my father, my father, the chariots of Israel, and the horsemen thereof". That was Idahosa.

Bishop , Bishop Oke, Bishop Mike , Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Pastor Chris , and several others, drank deeply from this stream; as well as followed the men he went after, such as TL , Oral Roberts, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth etc

MANY OF THE upstarts speaking against Bishop Oyedepo and others today will not be pastors today, if the likes of Archbishop didnt resist those things. Ministry was FAR FROM a young man's thing then. Go into ministry, and your family would shed tears; and your fiancee would leave you. Have you read what Bishop Oyedepo said when he proposed to Mama faith? It was not all this Tinsel talk of nowadays. It was a carry your cross for the joy set before you thing. It was Archbishop Idahosa that changed the narrative. He was the first to start insisting on instruments and public address systems, when all the church used were tambourines, shekere, and talking drum. You will go to a gospel church with about 2000 members, and there will be only 4 cars in the car park, whereas in the Catholic and Anglican churches several people had cars. Many believers just wanted to spend all the time in church activities but were not doing so well outside those four walls. In the process of mingling with believers across the world and studying the scriptures, Idahosa began to preach that we don’t have to live in poverty in the name of serving God that prosperity is for God’s children. Prosperity mindset became a necessity. He was really concerned about the pentecostal churches. He spent a great deal of his life and ministry mentoring and strengthening other ministries outside Church of God Missions, his own ministry. He was a father. Those close to him know that he was a simple man and he did not elevate materialism above holiness. You know it was an exciting thing for us to know that we could still prosper and be Christians.

BUT JUST AS Apostle Babalola did not accept Pa Elton's worded interpretation of his visions and leadings.
So also did Pa Elton not take it well when Benson Idahosa first started being a bishop, and then an Archbishop. It broke his heart. He had warned against titles and about over-focusing on prosperity.

This was when God raised the man called Pastor WF with the holiness message, so that just as deep fellowship with Scripture was to limit the excesses of people given to deep prayer, and righteous prosperity was to help those given to prayer and the word to shine in the world, so also would holiness message limit the excesses of prosperity message. I can never forget the first time I heard him speak through a screen/live broadcast. The fingerprint of Jesus was so heavy on me, just listening. I just heard Jesus talking, and stood transfixed to the spot. As far as I'm concerned, all the devil's box, don't wear this, don't wear that; were to me, quite ephemeral. The dimension to the body of Christ through him, was strongly evident. He was sent to call believers who had being blessed by the prayer of Aladura, the word of SU, and were now enjoying the prosperity of word of faith; to call them to holiness.

These were dimensions God brought in to build up the church. And of the many that stepped foot on the soils of Nigeria, and live or lived here

MOST of the DELIVERANCE, and PRAYER ministries can be traced back to Joseph Babalola or Joseph Oshoffa, and others
MOST of the WORD ministries can be traced back through SG Elton, and the SU Revival, and others
MOST of the FAITH for PROSPERITY ministries can be traced back through Benson Idahosa, and others
MOST of the HOLINESS ministries can be traced througn Adeboye and Kumuyi, and others

BUT BY THE TIME Pastor Kumuyi came on the scene, the Babalola-like churches and the Elton-like ministries and the Idahosa-like churches were separated by certain cracks; such that the Aladura move and the Evangelical move of the SU, and the word of faith moves were already separate. Holiness camp was therefore also set up, and without the others, stretched into legalism beyond what the set man could handle. For instance, the (Late) Mrs. Kumuyi once told women in Deeper Life that it was not every time they should cover their heads, but they should do so only when praying and prophesying. The women thought Pastor Kumuyi’s wife was wrong. The could not believe she would say that, and elders in the ministry have opposed Pastor Kumuyi for trying to deviate from 'holiness message'

DISCIPLES!

Just as disciples took the manifestations of Babalola and made it a doctrine
So did disciples take the word and tongues of Elton and make it a fad
So also did disciples of Idahosa take prosperity and make it THE message
As did disciples of Deeper Life take holiness message and stretch it into legalism

Everyone formed their own ideological and doctrinal camp.

I conclude with the RCCG. As greatly anointed as Pastor Adeboye is, he has formed no other camps than the redemption camp on Kilometre 46, Lagos Ibadan expressway, where everyone is welcome. You would be amazed how many different kinds of ministers have been there to visit, and even hold their own meetings. Pa Akindayomi, his predecessor and founder (who founded the RCCG in 1952) was already a stronghold of prayer, encounters with the Holy Spirit, holiness, and Bible study, and passed these verities to baba. As a young brilliant man, baba went after Kenneth Hagin; he went after Pa Elton. Bishop Francis Wale Oke brought him and Archbishop Benson Idahosa together, and they had fellowship. So RCCG did not throw their tambourines away when they picked up microphones and instruments and air conditioning. When the inspiration of model parishes came, and was opposed by some of the Aladura style of worship elders, Pastor Adeboye encouraged it mightily. There is no perfect church, but RCCG nationwide and worldwide is the closest example of what the church should be like: old women, young men, excited youths, orthodox like elders, tongue talkers, Baba-se, Baba-se prayer warriors; worded fellows....everyone finds a place. They have helped those who are tired of the monotony of Catholic and Anglican, the practices of Aladura, the legalism of holiness, the Hebrew and Greek of word of faith, and the excesses of focusing on prosperity; to find a place to worship.

That's what it means to be a shepherd, and a pastor.

Space will fail me to speak of so many others; but Joseph Babalola was more of an apostle, Pa Elton a teacher, Benson Idahosa a prophet, Enoch Adeboye a pastor, and well, Reinhard Bonnke was an evangelist.

Ephesians 4:11
He (that is, JESUS CHRIST) is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

Ephesians 4:12
Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ,

Ephesians 4:13
Until we come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ.

Ephesians 4:14
Then we will no longer be like children, FOREVER CHANGING OUR MINDS ABOUT WHAT WE BELIEVE BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS TOLD US SOMETHING DIFFERENT OR BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS CLEVERLY LIED TO US AND MADE THE LIE SOUND LIKE THE TRUTH.

Ephesians 4:15
Instead, we will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.

Ephesians 4:16
Under his direction, the whole body is fitted together perfectly. AS EACH PART DOES ITS OWN SPECIAL WORK, IT HELPS THE OTHER PARTS GROW, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

God has sent us various men over the years, to build His church, by comprehending with all the saints in love, storey by storey, to heavenly heights, and lengths, and depths, and breadths, into a habitation of the Spirit, filled with all the fullness of God, Christ Himself being the chief corner stone.

Instead we keep building several great big bungalows.

Is it not time to have the former rain and the latter rain together in the same generation, and to bring together 'Luther's Faith', 'Calvin's Grace', 'Wesley's Holiness', 'Finney's Conviction', 'Kenyon's New Creation', 'Wigglesworth's Power', 'Watchman Nee's Christ Crucified' 'Hagin's Love', 'Yonggi Cho's Church Growth', 'Tanee Fomum's Consecration', and 'Strong's Hebrew and Greek'; etc, so that the beautiful name of Jesus be magnified in all the earth, and in Heaven.

It is time.

So let the people of God say...
