Chambroad Sinopoly's BIIR project to be put into production

The largest BIIR project in China, the second phase of the BIIR project of Shandong Chambroad Sinopoly New Material Co., Ltd. will be completed and put into operation in August this year.

The device is the first domestic production line using polymer direct dissolution (PDD) technology, and positioning is to produce high-performance BIIR. It has four advantages: product stability is greatly improved, the product has wide molecular weight distribution, the product is purer, and the production process is more environmentally friendly.

China is currently the world's largest BIIR market, with an annual demand of about 450,000 tons.

Xingda’s steel cord expansion project to be put into production

The first phase of the expansion project of Jiangsu Xingda Steel Tyre Cord Co., Ltd., with an annual output of 350,000 tons of high-performance radial tire steel cord, is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of this year.

The project has a total investment of RMB 3.6 billion and will be implemented in two phases. The first phase invests RMB1.6 billion and has started on February 28, with a total construction area of about 119,000 square meters.

Baotong, BUAA, and BUCT jointly establish a research institute

On July 9, with the China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA) and China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF) as the guiding units, Wuxi Baotong Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), Beihang University (BUAA) jointly held the opening ceremony and cooperation signing ceremony "Baotong Intelligent Transportation Industry Green Development Research Institute."

As an influential enterprise in the industry, Baotong took the lead to establish the research institute. Baotong has signed industry-university-research cooperation agreements with BUCT and BUAA. It will better realize the in-depth integration of technological innovation and the real economy.

On July 7, Zhejiang Sailun Tire Sales Co., Ltd. held its establishment ceremony in Taizhou, Zhejiang.

It is a milestone step in the process of promoting the integration of production and marketing of Sailun Group and one of the first five pilots to start the integration strategy of production and sales. It heralds the birth of a new cooperation model with partners for Sailun Group in the sales field.

Construction of Anhui GITI's new factory to start in September

According to the latest announcement by the Development and Reform Commission of Hefei City, Anhui Province on July 1, Anhui GITI Tire Co., Ltd. will relocate to Xiatang Industrial Park, Shuangfeng Economic Development Zone, Changfeng County.

The new plant covers 2500 acres, with a total investment of about RMB7.2 billion. It will reach an annual production capacity of not less than 20 million semi-steel radial tires, 2.6 million all-steel radial tires, and other related products.

The new plant is expected to start in September this year and be completed in December 2026. GITI's existing factory area will begin relocating in May 2025 and end in December 2026.

Linglong Tire signs a strategic cooperation agreement with SDLG

On June 29, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between Linglong Tire and Shandong Linglong Construction Machinery (SDLG) was held in Linglong Company. Wang Feng, chairman and president of Linglong Tire, and Wen Degang, general manager of Shandong Lingong, attended the ceremony.

SDLG is one of the top 100 companies in China's machinery industry and one of the four major groups in China's construction machinery industry. Its business covers more than 150 countries and regions around the world.

The signing of the strategic cooperation is a strong alliance of industry leaders. Two million tires project puts into production

On June 27, the first phase of the 2 million high-performance all-steel radial tire project of Jiangsu Anji Tire Co., Ltd. put into production successfully. The daily output will gradually increase from the current hundreds of tires to 2500-5000 tires. The main products are high-performance all-steel radial tires.

The project has a planned total investment of RMB 850 million and will invest RMB 580 million in 2021. It started on January 1, 2021, and the construction period will be two years. The total construction area is 30,000 square meters, with 25,000 square meters of new workshops.

BUCT has successfully developed two kinds of bio-based rubber tires

At the 8th Global Tire Tech Forum (GTTF) organized by the China Rubber Industry Association, Zhang Liqun, vice president of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), said in a keynote speech, “Bio-based rubber is an important way for sustainable development of the world rubber industry. Bio-based rubber is coming to us."

BUCT has successfully developed the world’s first batch of butenediol-based bio-based polyester rubber biodegradable tires, which have better performance of wet skid resistance and low rolling resistance. BUCT has built the world's first thousand-ton demonstration production line in Shandong Chambroad Sinopoly New Materials Co., Ltd. and trial-produced the bio-based green tire on the production line of Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., Ltd. The rolling resistance reached level B of the EU labeling law.

Two million m2 rubber conveyor belt project starts

The conveyor belt project of Hebei Jiulong Conveyor Belt Co., Ltd. is located in the Northern Circular Economy Demonstration Park of Dingzhou City, with a construction period of 12 months. The project covers 76 acres, with a total area of 50,000 square meters. It mainly constructs production workshops, warehouses, and office areas, as well as four new rubber conveyor belt production lines. After completion, the project can produce two million square meters of rubber conveyor belts annually.

Jiulong Company was established on May 25, 2020, with a registered capital of RMB 20 million yuan.

Recent overview of China's rubber imports and exports

From January to May, China imported 521,000 tons of synthetic rubber, with an increase of 56,000 tons or 12% compared with the same period in 2020. The export of SR is 125,000 tons, with an increase of 61,000 tons or 94%.

China imported 114,000 tons of synthetic latex, with a year-on-year increase of 47%; imported 248,000 tons of natural rubber latex, with a year-on-year increase of 24%; imported 35,000 tons of compound rubber, with an increase of 40%; imported 681,000 tons of natural rubber, with an increase of 24%; imported 1.235 million tons of natural rubber and synthetic rubber mixtures, with a decrease of 4%.

According to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, China's SR production in May was 642,000 tons, with an increase of 2.4% year on year. China's cumulative production of SR from January to May was 3.18 million tons, with an increase of 14.4%.

Linglong Tire to build the sixth production base

Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., Ltd. announced on June 9, decided to build the sixth domestic production base in Tongchuan City, Shanxi Province, China. The project includes an annual output of 15.2 million high-performance radial tires and 500,000 retread tires. The total investment budget is RMB 6.066 billion.

After completion, the annual production capacity will reach 12 million semi-steel radial tires, 3 million whole steel radial tires, 100,000 aviation tires (including 60,000 retread tires), 100,000 special tires, 500,000 retread car tires, and 1 million inner tubes and pads.

At present, Shaanxi has more than 60 vehicle and special vehicle enterprises, such as Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile, and nearly 1,000 auto parts and secondary and tertiary level supporting enterprises.

Ae**us Tyre to participate in major asset restructuring

On June 3, Ae**us Tyre Co., Ltd. issued an announcement and approved the implementation plan for a major asset-restructuring plan to invest 266 million euros (approximately RMB 2.07 billion) to purchase the 38% stake in PTG.

At present, Ae**us holds 10% shares in PTG. If the bid is successful, Ae**us will hold 48% shares in PTG.

TP Industrial Holding S.p.A holds the other 52% shares of PTG. From December 1, 2020, Ae**us started to take custody of the equity for a period of three years.
