Friday night （19th September ）was unforgettable! We gathered high above Chongqing at Sky Bar · Shua, on the 42nd floor of Raffles City, for the Welcome Back Drinks Mixer. With the city lights glittering below us and the famous Sky Bridge stretching out 250 meters above the ground, the stage was set for an evening filled with magic.
From the very first sip of the complimentary welcome drink, the atmosphere was buzzing. The bartenders kept spirits high with cocktails designed just for the night, while a live DJ filled the skyline with energy, making it impossible not to move with the rhythm. Conversations flowed as old friends reconnected and new ones were made — laughter and stories weaving together to create a community vibe that felt both familiar and fresh.
But what truly made the evening special wasn’t just the music, the drinks, or even the breathtaking view — it was the people. The crowd was alive with an incredible mix of backgrounds and cultures, each person bringing their own energy to the night. On Friday (19th ) evening, the Chongqing Expat Guide and the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China hosted the Welcome Back Drinks Mixer at Sky Bar · Shua, InterContinental Hotel, Raffles City Chongqing.
Perched 42 floors above the city, the venue offered a spectacular stage for an evening of international networking and celebration.
The experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Guests were welcomed with a complimentary drink and treated to an array of exclusive cocktails crafted especially for the event. The Sky Bridge, suspended 250 meters above the ground, provided a breathtaking view of Chongqing’s skyline, casting the entire evening in a glow of lights and energy. Friends from Spain🇪🇸, Morocco🇲🇦, USA🇺🇸, UK🇬🇧, Japan🇯🇵, Sri Lanka🇱🇰, Pakistan🇵🇰 and more gathered to chat. We also celebrated two cross-country love stories — friends who met and fell in love in Chongqing.

On the evening of July 24, 2025, the “Yujian Xiashi · 2025 Summer Cuisine Tasting Gala Dinner” was successfully held at Chuanshang Restaurant, The Westin Chongqing Liberation Square.

A highlight of the event was the official debut of Da Dong’s signature “Crispy yet Non-Greasy” Roast Duck in Chongqing, now featured on Chuanshang’s menu.

The dinner was structured in four thematic chapters—Summer Prelude · Pepper Aroma, Seasonal Freshness · Delicate Fragrance, Summer Rhythm · Savory Essence, and Final Harvest · Fruity Notes. Over the course of 3.5 hours, guests enjoyed 22 meticulously crafted dishes, paired with 5 fine Chinese liquors and 4 traditional teas, delivering an immersive tasting experience that celebrated the flavors and spirit of summer.

Led by Executive Chef Charlie, the Chuanshang culinary team presented an innovative and elegant interpretation of seasonal Chinese cuisine.
