✨ Celebrating 20 Years of Impact — IWG Chongqing Charity Gala 2024 ✨

On December 6th, the “Silk Road of Ming Dynasty” 20th Anniversary Charity Gala was hosted at HUALUXE Chongqing Science Hall, bringing together 180+ guests, including government officials, international consuls, and business leaders, all united for a meaningful cause.

The evening featured a stunning cultural drama and Qipao show, masterful performances by Zhang Jinsong, Shao Xiaobai, Cheng Yanqiu & Zhang Yixing Dance Team, and an exquisite “Yating Banquet.”
A charity auction supported by consulates and 50+ sponsors added warmth and generosity to the night.

All funds were donated to the Xiaolongkan Hui’ai Social Work Service Station, supporting a new Relaxation Room and Accessible Bathrooms for children with autism and intellectual disabilities.

This may be the most impressive lineup of chefs for Cantonese fusion cuisine you can experience in Chongqing. I was fortunate to be invited to the "Jin Wutong Star Restaurant – Three Cities Collaborate, Six Hands in Harmony" Gala Dinner at the InterContinental Hotel Raffles Chongqing. Three executive chefs from different cities, with perfect harmony, showcased their culinary artistry through a "six-hand collaboration," breaking boundaries to present an unprecedented symphony of flavors.

Event Recap | The British Day

Last Saturday afternoon, the 2025 British Day Chongqing event, hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China and themed “Tales and Teas” was successfully held at Palm Springs Mall! For the first time this fantastic event was held in Chongqing! It featured a variety of parent-child interactive activities and wonderful performances by talented international school students💃🎻🎵.

We enjoyed a range of delicious food including burgers, light bites, and handmade sugar figurines, engaging in friendly exchanges with foreign friends and interacting with Paddington Bear, the iconic British gentleman, and participating in various DIY and lucky draw activities prepared by the special stalls. A unique display was set up in honor of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the great British author Jane Austen 📖, allowing everyone to be immersed in British culture. The classic “Mad Hatter Competition" 🎩 also attracted much attention, with children unleashing their imagination and creating cute and creative hats. Both parents and children had an unforgettable and delightful time full of British charm🇬🇧.

As the vast universe of Interstellar unfolded on the big screen, friends from Italy, the UK, Belgium, and the US held their breath together. With burgers and fries in hand, we all fell into Nolan's sci-fi dream together 🍔🌟. The mix of "Wow!"s in different languages showed our shared wonder for the cosmos, no matter where we're from~
