📖📖📖The Guangdong Classic Reading Competition finals opened in Guangzhou on Saturday (August 8 ) and will last till Sunday, featuring three groups - youth👦, adult👩‍🦰, and family/team🏠 - with stage performances including recitals, dramatic enactments, and book-sharing sessions!

On Saturday, 50 young contestants competed and showcased their passion for reading in the youth group final.🏆

Ranging from kindergarten to middle school, the young participants delivered diverse performances - from sharing reading reflections and staging short skits to presenting poetry recitals with music - each revealing the unique worlds they discovered through books. 🎤🎤🎤

On August 6, the 7th Greater Bay Area Cantonese Chef Skills Competition kicked off in Heyuan, Guangdong. Twenty-three teams from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao gathered by Wanlü Lake to compete in Chinese cooking and pastry-making.

The competition is also turning into a food carnival, with chefs showing off their skills and visitors getting free tastings of local specialties such as fresh fish soup and handmade fish balls.
