In Wenlei Village, Mengda Town, Zhenyuan, Pu'er, silkworm cocoons have found a new sales channel. In addition to selling to traditional buyers, the village has also started taking "custom-order" requests—processing fresh cocoons directly into silk quilts in local workshops and mailing the finished products straight to customers' doorsteps. As the summer vacation approaches, the Cangshan Ximatan Cable Car has undergone a comprehensive overhaul and service upgrade. Riding the cable car offers a panoramic view of the ancient city and Erhai Lake. In winter, you can observe glacial relics and alpine vegetation along the route, experiencing a variety of climates in a short time. The mountains are often enveloped in mist, with wildflowers in full bloom and groups of blood pheasants foraging in the forest. The scenic area has added sun and rain shelters, and provides free ginger tea and mung bean soup as needed. Visitors can also enjoy Bai tie-dye, three-course tea, Xizhou baba (a type of flatbread), and other cultural experiences.

Continuous rainfall has soaked the mountain forests, and various wild mushrooms have begun to emerge from the soil. Yunnan's annual mushroom-picking and tasting season has officially begun. In the forests, you can find common edible varieties such as porcini, termite mushrooms, green-capped russulas, and red russulas. Each type of mushroom has its own specific growing area, and local villagers are well familiar with the distribution of mushroom spots throughout the mountains. They head out with bamboo baskets in the early morning to pick them.

Friendly reminder: Eating wild mushrooms carries safety risks. Do not pick or eat any mushrooms you cannot identify. Always cook them thoroughly before consumption.

A newly discovered ancient wild Taiwania flousiana tree cluster has been found in the Fugong section of the Gaoligong Mountains, consisting of over 40 trees. They grow in evergreen broad-leaved forests at elevations between 2,000 and 2,300 meters. The thickest individual tree has a trunk circumference exceeding 7 meters and a height of nearly 60 meters. Taiwania flousiana originates from the Tertiary period and is a national second-class protected wild plant, often referred to as a "living fossil" in the plant world. This newly discovered cluster is the largest known wild Taiwania flousiana population in the Fugong area, located in the middle section of the Gaoligong Mountains.
