🎻 The erhu, a traditional Chinese two-stringed bowed instrument often called the "Chinese violin," is known for its rich, expressive sound. But have you ever imagined this timeless instrument merging with modern technology? At Maker Faire Shenzhen 2024, we witnessed an inspiring example of innovation: the Electronic Erhu, a Bluetooth MIDI instrument powered by the ESP32 chip.

The Electronic Erhu integrates an encoder at its center, which is wrapped with a string. When the string is pulled, the encoder spins, and the ESP32 chip reads the encoder's speed to control the volume. Additionally, the top section features 16 buttons, each corresponding to a different musical note, allowing for a dynamic performance experience. Even complete Erhu amateurs can achieve their musical dreams with this electronic erhu!
