I love city walks and this route is such a gem in Guangzhou for a breath of fresh air!

1. Sacred Heart Cathedral 圣心大教堂
⏰ 9am-5pm Closed on Mondays!

2. 沙面岛🏛️ - little Europe of GZ! A popular wedding photo spot, you’ll see a lot of couples! You can grab some many nice pictures here but beware of randos taking pics of you. I had to stop one of them 🥹

3. Dimsum at 白鹅 Iconic White Swan Hotel was the first luxury hotel in China to welcome international guests after the country’s opening up. We’re lucky to get seated quickly! No reservations allowed and yes there were ALOT of people

4. 陈家祠 The Chen Clan Academy
⏰ 9am-5pm Super cool place, definitely need more time here! Funded by the Chen clans across Guangdong, it is one of the largest and best-preserved Lingnan ancestral halls, a masterpiece of Cantonese architecture!!

5. Starbucks Reserve coffee break ☕️ Got sorted by the hat and watch me fail basic magic 🪄

6. Boutique style stays are the most interesting in China imo with great service and ambience. You can keep your Dyson at home too 🤣 Did the bulk of photoshoot here because it’s such a vibe and private ~

7. This is clearly out of GZ main area but super worth the detour! They have many minxin laopu outlets but this is the most authentic!!! I love how their 双皮奶 has different levels of sweetness 👌🏻

From market-fresh seafood to proper dim sum 🥟 Shenzhen is where China comes together, no doubt. After a few trips here, these are my go-to spots. 找到好吃最开心😉

1. I LOVE seafood. I have been to quite a few like these but I must say this is the most accessible/ central seafood spot in Shenzhen! All sorts of cooking methods for seafood you can imagine and they have awesome seasonal dishes.

2. Traditional no frills dimsum. I like how it’s very chill on weekday mornings!

3. Teochew cuisine and again, picked a great mall spot where you can shop right after! The claypot fried rice was da hidden gem!

4. Rivalling my other favourite sour soup hotpot!! I miss this already, it tastes a bit like tomyum but not spicy and the ingredients are so FRESH. Their drinks are also really out of the world.

5. Very local select and I LOVE-it for supper spot. hearsay open by famous hongkong star!

6. No need to take a 7h flight to Beijing cause this Peking duck is chef’s 💋
