With the explosive growth of AI, the intelligent computing demand has increased quickly since the beginning of this year. To become a frontrunner in the intelligent computing sector, Guizhou has taken the lead in building a computing power highland. Its computing power has totaled 85 Eflops, where intelligent computing accounts for over 98% and reaching a homemade rate of approximately 90%. Guizhou has become one of the regions in possession of the most powerful homemade intelligent computing capacities in China.

Such extraordinary intelligent computing power is pillared by robust digital foundation. Currently a total of 48 key data centers are under construction or in service in Guizhou, including 28 large-scale data centers with a total storage capacity of up to 25EB, equivalent to the size of 5 billion HD movie files of 5GB each. This means that Guizhou is capable of efficiently bearing the load of valuable data resources required for AI training such as texts, images and videos. It is thoroughly repositioning the big data industry to transform from a storage center to the mode of integrating storage and computing with priority given to intelligent computing.

Guizhou proposes to expedite the construction of the east-data-west-computing pivotal node, and build a national intelligent computing highland, so that its total computing power scale will record 260 Eflops by 2027. Big Data Expo 2025 to open in Guiyang on August 28

The Big Data Expo 2025 is hosted by the National Data Administration, and organized by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. Themed "Data Gathers Industrial Momentum, Intelligence Initiates New Development", the annual expo this year will be staged in Guiyang, Guizhou Province from August 28 to 30.

Regarding the professional exhibitions, six thematic pavilions will be available on site, including Data Intelligence Navigation, Data Intelligence Infrastructure, Data Intelligence Service, Data Intelligence Application, Data Intelligence Innovation and Data Intelligence Experience, to showcase a number of new technologies, products, solutions and applications of digital economy.

Technological innovation and product application: Chengzhi's Commitment to D-ribose innovation and application.

In terms of innovative nutrition and product access, Chengzhi's subsidiary, Chengzhi BLS, with its forward-looking research in the application of D-ribose, has advanced both the safety studies and product functionality development of D-ribose, bringing it to market early. In addition to obtaining FDA GRAS certification in the U.S., Chengzhi BLS also submitted a Novel Food application to the European Union. In March 2019, the EU issued Regulation (EU) 2019/506, approving D-ribose as a novel food, to further expand its innovative applications in the European food and nutrition sector. Domestically, in March 2024, Chin's National Health Commission announced the approval of the "New Food Additive D-ribose" application submitted by Chengzhi's subsidiary, Chengzhi Life Science, classifying D-ribose as a sports nutrition enhancer, to open up new avenues for its innovative use in China's sports nutrition sector.

In terms of new product development, Chengzhi created the first domestic health supplement featuring D-ribose as an active ingredient, "LIBOSHI D-ribose Powder", which provides anti-fatigue and anti-hypoxia benefits, marking a breakthrough in D-ribose applications in the domestic nutrition and health industry. In recent years, Chengzhi's LIBOSHI brand has won the award - 2019 Most Market Potential Brand in the Health Industry, and its flagship product, "LIBOSHI D-ribose Powder", has been recognized with honours such as the 2019 Nutrition and Health Science and Technology Progress Award and the 2023 NHNE Nutrition Planet Product Award. Also, in 2020, it was included in the National Health Literacy Promotion Action: A Guide for the Consumption of Health and Nutrition Foods.

In addition, Chengzhi's advantage in the D-ribose product field lies in its strong emphasis on technological innovation and patent protection. In its core product areas within the Healthcare and Life Science business segment, Chengzhi has applied for more than 150 invention patents, with 93 patents granted to date.

"In terms of process technology, we have been engaged in process optimization and technology iteration research, aiming to maintain a competitive edge in core technologies for future development. Chengzhi's D-ribose: A transformation from manufacturing to building a global industry chain.

In September 2011, Chengzhi acquired the U.S.-based Bioenergy Life Science, INC., to establish its U.S. subsidiary, Chengzhi (USA) Bioenergy Life Science, LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Chengzhi BLS"). Bioenergy Life Science, INC. is a comprehensive biotechnology company dedicated to improving dietary health, and its D-ribose product was the first globally to receive the US FDA GRAS certification.

Following the acquisition, Chengzhi gained complete intellectual property rights covering both product manufacturing and application. The company now possesses key technologies in strain development, fermentation control, separation and purification, and crystallization processes, as well as an intellectual property network related to applications in various fields, including food and beverage, nutritional supplements, clinical nutrition, and medical uses. In addition, Chengzhi also established exclusive global sales channels protected by patents.

Chengzhi has become a technology leader for the D-ribose products in the global biomanufacturing industry.

Chengzhi's subsidiaries have successively completed the technological development and incubation of various functional sugar products such as D-ribose, 2-deoxyribose, L-ribose, D-mannose, and D-allulose, as well as amino acid products like L-glutamine, L-theanine, L-arginine, L-alanyl-L-glutamine, and glutathione. In addition, the company has also reserved new products and technologies.

In tandem with its own growth, Chengzhi has been promoting the development of the industry. The company has been involved in drafting national standards, such as the Guidelines for the Classification of Amino Acid Products, and industry standards for L-theanine, L-arginine, Branched-chain amino acids (L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine), L-glutamine, and trimethylglycine and its hydrochloride. According to a representative from Chengzhi's synthetic biology division, the company began exploring the D-ribose sector in 2001, and its project - "D-ribose Production via Fermentation" - was successively included in the National Technology Innovation Plan in 2002, the National Plan for New Key Products in 2004, and the National Biological Structure Adjustment and Industrial Upgrade Programme in 2005. Chengzhi was the first both domestically and internationally to complete the industrial development of the innovative fermentation-based direct purification and one-step crystallization process for producing D-ribose. All process indicators are at the forefront of the industry, making the company a technological leader in D-ribose products in the global biomanufacturing industry, with its core technologies forming a number of intellectual property rights. In addition, Chengzhi's subsidiary, Jiangxi Chengzhi Bioengineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiangxi Chengzhi Bio"), has served as the incubation and industrial hub for this project. It has built a D-ribose production line with a comprehensive quality assurance system and industry-leading technology, which was recognized as a National High-tech Industrialization Demonstration Project.
