Every child knows the feeling — the lights go out, the shadows grow tall, and suddenly the bedroom becomes the scariest place in the world.
Overcoming the Dark is a heartwarming animated short film that follows Lucas, a seven-year-old boy who believes something terrifying lives under his bed. But when he finally works up the courage to look, he discovers something he never expected — a tiny glowing creature named Lumi, a Lightkeeper whose only job is to help scared little hearts find their own bravery.
Together, Lucas and Lumi embark on the most important adventure a child can take: learning that the dark doesn't take anything away. That the noises in the night have gentle explanations. That being scared and going to sleep anyway is the truest definition of brave.
And most importantly — that the brightest light of all was never in a lamp, a nightlight, or a glowing little creature under the bed.
