Actor Nick Pasqual has been arrested at the border between the US and Mexico, and charged with allegedly stabbing and attempting to murder his estranged girlfriend, authorities have said.
Mr Pasqual is accused of breaking into the victim's home and stabbing her multiple times, shortly after she had taken a restraining order out against him, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney.
They did not identify her, but she has been named in US media as Hollywood make-up artist Allie Shehorn.
Mr Pasqual allegedly fled the scene and was detained at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas.
He has had minor roles in films like Rebel Moon Part One and Jobs, and TV shows including How I Met Your Mother.
He also starred in sketch comedy podcast National Day Riff, and sci-fi series A Demon's Destiny: The Lone Warrior.

Marvel star Jeremy Renner has taken his first role since his 2023 snowplough accident, joining the cast of the third Knives Out film.
Renner joins a starry line-up for the murder mystery sequel, titled Wake Up Dead Man, alongside Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington and Josh O'Connor, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Daniel Craig will return as Benoit Blanc, the detective with a distinctive southern US drawl and a knack for solving murders.
Last week, the films' Oscar-nominated director and writer Rian Johnson posted about the new film on Instagram: "We’re about to go into production on it and I AM SLIGHTLY EXCITED."
Renner has been recovering since being left in a critical condition when he was accidentally run over by his own snowplough on New Year's Day 2023.

Jennifer Lopez has said she is "devastated" after cancelling the US leg of her This Is Me... Live tour.
Ticketing company Live Nation announced on Friday that the 2024 summer tour was cancelled, saying the singer is "taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends".
Addressing fans through her On the Jlo newsletter, the singer wrote: "I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down."
Live Nation assured fans in a statement that they will be automatically refunded.
The tour comes off the back of Lopez's ninth studio album This Is Me... Now, which was released 20 years after her hit album, This Is Me... Then. It is the singer's first album for five years.
Kicking off in Orlando on 26 June, the two-month tour of North America was due to conclude in Houston at the end of August.
Writing to fans, Lopez said: "I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary.
"I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time."

The couple are also currently involved in a legal battle over Chateau Miraval, a French winery they bought together.

Today, 'wellness' is a huge global industry, associated with expensive products and some dubious scientific claims. But 50 years ago, it was born as a subversive project that sought to really rectify the damage done by the modern grind.

In 1977 Cyra McFadden published her debut novel The Serial. It was a well-observed account of a year in the lives of the neurotic and (sometimes) hedonistic 30 and 40-somethings of California's Marin County, the affluent middle-class territory a short hop over the bay from San Francisco. What her friend Armistead Maupin would do for San Francisco's gay scene in Tales of the City (1978), McFadden did for "Marvellous Marin": the author, who sadly died last month, used The Serial to catalogue the idiosyncrasies of the area and its inhabitants.
But where Tales of the City was an affectionate look at the dreamers of Barbary Lane, The Serial was a biting satire. It played with the language of the soap opera but cut with the precision of a scalpel, particularly when it came to the distinguishing feature of Marin's cultural landscape: its role as an unofficial hub for California's "self-culture".
