Did you know that your brain is made up of 75% water? Hence, having dehydration levels below 1% can have very detrimental effects on brain function, making it difficult to concentrate, limiting your memory, and making you feel confused or drowsy.

Being hydrated has among its benefits, including a greater ability to focus, balance in your mood, elimination of toxins and even being able to sleep better. So go for that glass of water before reading on.

Hydrate yourself:

Global clinical trial distribution
Less than 5% of clinical research worldwide is done in Latin America and only a minimal part is carried out on women, so it is key that there are more opportunities in this field in the region and, above all, with a gender focus. experts on health issues said this Wednesday.

“At this moment there are more than 107,000 clinical studies and, in all of Latin America, we have 4,000, this represents less than 5% of the activity worldwide,” revealed the manager of clinical operations at Roche Caribbean, Central America and Venezuela, Virginia Cozzi Vilches.

During her participation in the panel ‘The power of gender equality in clinical research’ within the framework of Roche Press Day, the expert specified that, in Spain alone, 5,000 clinical investigations are currently being carried out, while the United States has 33,000.

🙋🏻‍♀️ ☀️Study shows that women are more independent than men since we are generally prepared to take on all the household chores and additionally solve our economy

According to the statements of Professor Emily Grundy, from the University of Essex to The Telegraph “There is evidence that women spend more time on housework than men and I think they also do more emotional work, so they continue to do more housework and cooking and other things, as well as more emotional work. It is said that women who are not married and do not have children are the happiest group in the population, as there is less physical, mental, and emotional overload, so they decide to be single and happy”.

As of a study carried out by MINTEL (The world’s leading market intelligence agency), of the total number of single women in the world under the age of 45, 61% of them are happy, while of single men in the world, 49% are. Additionally, the study shows us that in an age range between 45 and 65 years the level of happiness with being single varies: 32% of women feel happy being single, while only 19% of men feel that way. This proves once again the capacity of women to be alone, to be happy, and autonomous.

It is not necessary to put so much mystery to the words. If you are fat, you are fat. I am a cute and fashionable fat woman.
“One is beautiful as it is and that’s it. That is the most important thing and you have to believe in that. It’s all about attitude. There is no other”, thus with her strong tone of voice and an indelible smile Laura Agudelo speaks about fat women, to whom through her blog La Pesada de Moda, she gives advice so that when looking in the mirror they feel empowered and stay away from the myths that the media have launched for years.

Laura lives intensely and that is why she constantly repeats “don’t keep putting off life for when you are skinny. Long live, we have been locked up for almost seven months and we still have a long time, so we have to live and we cannot wait until we are skinny”.

She is one of those women with whom you can talk all day, hours, and hours, and never has a negative word. Her attitude is like the clothes she wears day after day, fresh and cheerful. Away from rules and standards, she considers that fashion does not have to bother. “It is a concept that is commanded to pick up. Fashion has to be comfortable, especially for women of large sizes”.

Journalist by profession. She worked in media such as Vanguardia Liberal, Colprensa, Revista Semana in Colombia. She decided, about 10 years ago, to open a space, which is, like her personal closet. The blog La Pesada de Moda, where, with a fairly simple language, he tells hundreds of women of large sizes how beautiful and how elegant they are.

👩🏼💯 Ida Vitale will soon turn 100 years old, which “does not weigh on her.” EFE interviewed the Uruguayan writer.

On November 2, the Uruguayan poet Ida Vitale will turn 100 years old, a figure that does not weigh on her, “why should I do it?” she asks in an interview with EFE in Madrid, “one forgets bad things, the first thing what one should do is forget the bad things”, and “in what life are there not bad things?”

Close to celebrating a century of life, Vitale returns to Madrid to present the reissue of one of his most successful books: “Where the chameleon flies” (Lumen publishing house), originally published in 1996 and unpublished in Spain until now, a work half I walk between poetry and prose that brings together stories, fables and allegories.

Interviewing Vitale is not easy due to the large number of questions that journalists have asked her in her life, but she answers, laughing, that in her native Montevideo they don’t do it: “They don’t need interviews there, the Montevideans know everything, the Uruguayan is enough, it is enough, but no, they are good people,” he points out to remember that many people have gone to live in Uruguay, especially Spaniards.

As I grew old, graduated from university, and found a job, other concepts within the mind of a procrastinator were revealed to me: guilt and shame.

When I was still in high school I watched a Talk by Tim Urban about procrastination and how it can affect our lives long term. At the time it just seemed funny to me watching someone explain the mind of a “master procrastinator” as a system with an instant gratification monkey messing around with our decisions until deadlines awake the Panic Monster. It was funny because I was a master procrastinator, and felt absolutely identified with the description. But as I grew old, graduated from university, and found a job, other concepts within the mind of a procrastinator were revealed to me: guilt and shame.

🤰🏻 🧘🏼 The diagnosis of mental illness is not necessarily related to the exercise of motherhood.

Questions about the “good or bad mother” that we are or can become are questions that constantly afflict us when conceiving a child or wanting one. Some women consider that they would be terrible mothers. After all, they have been diagnosed with a mental illness, because they are not sufficiently prepared, they do not have all the financial resources necessary to support their children, or they do not have a stable partner. And the list gets much longer...

Maternity and Taboos
The truth is that talking about mental health and maternity still seems to be taboo. Taking into account how much motherhood has been romanticized, ignoring its difficulties and complexities. Being motherhood is an experience traversed by notions such as happiness, perfection, and sacrifice. Three beliefs that take root in us since pregnancy and that become more and more acute and distressing as time goes by. The social stigma of the “bad mother” that we end up incorporating is crucial when deciding whether to be a mother or not, which also defines our way of perceiving the act of maternity.

Are you feeling exhausted, annoyed, and overwhelmed at work? Burnout can be defined as a feeling of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion.

Burnout can occur when people feel it is impossible to meet constant demands, due to physical and emotional fatigue. But, what comes next? The most worrying part of burnout is that it can even lead people to lose the motivation that led them to accept a certain role in the first place.

If you have experienced burnout before, you may be familiar with some of its most common characteristics. You may have felt unproductive, helpless, resentful, or even hopeless. Also, those of us who have been through burnout, know that it can even affect other areas of our life, including home, personal relations, and even social life. Its effects can even make us more vulnerable when it comes to illnesses such as colds and flu.
