La Rose Art Studios Illustrated clip art and fine art prints My name is Leyla and I am the sole owner and illustrator of La Rose Art Studios.

Since childhood, I’ve had a deep love for art and nature and spent years in art school finding my style. When I became a mother I still had this powerful urge to create but had to work with the constraints of life with small children - like working in small windows of time while the kids were sleeping. So I began a practice of daily drawing (every day, whether I was in the mood or not), which has

developed into the huge collection of graphics in my shop today! Now I am overjoyed to watch other creative-by-nap mothers, crafty dreamers, and entrepreneurs use my graphics in their own creative projects. I put my heart and soul into creating things of high quality and detail and I wish that they will bring success and beauty to your life.

Detailing snails - it was fun figuring out how to ink the textures on these guys without overworking them. I ended going with a lightly stippled crisscross pattern for the skin (solid lines would have looked too harsh) and hatched lines for the shadow parts of the shell.

The nature and wildlife there was unreal! 😍 I only wish I'd had an extra week to sit in the jungle and draw! 💚🌿🌺🦜🌴

Easter designs in the works, at the first inking stage! 🌷🐣🐇

My process is something like this:
First I sketch a lot of design ideas while looking at inspiration pictures. Then I sketch out my favourite ideas on good paper with pencil. In the first inking I finalize all the lines with pen. In the second inking I give more weight to certain lines. After that it's all digitizing! Scanning, separating each element in its own file, converting to SVG files and cleaning up lines!

A larger set like this takes me about a week to complete!

I'm so thankful for all my customers who appreciate the labour of love that goes into handmade items, and the high quality of the end result. ☺️
