Final recording session of 2024, and what an experience…
Aleksa recorded kaval and bagpipes for a few songs I’ll release in 2025.
After the session, I asked him to play something for the camera.
The instrument is a Serbian (Balkan) version of bagpipes and the melody is a traditional folk dance (oro).

In late December this year, I’ve had a couple of recording sessions for two different projects I’ve been working on.
This is @moma.guitar.techne working his magic and recording classical guitar for a cover of Being You Being Me by John McLaughlin.
I arranged the track and will be playing bass guitar, giving this rendition a different sound compared to the original version.

This was my first time recording a cello!
The session was almost 5 hours long, and it took patience, focus, and great communication from all of us involved.
But it was definitely worth it. With such a talented cellist and my new microphone that captured all the details and textures, the recording is really high quality.
This week I’m choosing final takes and incorporating them in the song.
This song is already on fire and we've only finished the recording part.
Can’t wait to hear it when it’s mixed and mastered!

I've been playing guitar all my life, but bass is just something else.
When I play the bass, it's a different feeling - I would even say it allows me to express a different side of my personality.

I was tempted to go with a premade beat for my promo video...
But then I realized this is the first thing you see when you land on my Instagram page.

The song starts in C minor, with the verse going like this:
C minor, G7, G7, C minor
Then it switches up to F minor, C minor, G7, and back to C minor
To keep things fresh I flipped it to C major for the solo and then brought it all the way back to C minor for the final verse.
