Not only was supplying Ukraine good branding for the U.S. weapons industry, it was good business. Transfers have totaled over $70 billion. In some cases, companies like RTX and Lockheed Martin had to wait to get paid, as initial transfers to Ukraine came from U.S. government stocks, and the companies were then paid to build new weapons to replace them.

The US military continued President Donald Trump’s deadly boat bombing campaign against alleged drug traffickers on Monday with its second strike in as many days, bringing the death toll since Sunday to six, with at least 227 people killed overall.

After announcing a Sunday bombing in the Pacific Ocean that killed two, US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) said on social media Tuesday that under the direction of Cmdr. Gen. Francis L. Donovan, “Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere executed a lethal kinetic strike on a go-fast vessel operating along established narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean. Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel’s active involvement in narco-trafficking. The operation killed four narco-terrorists.”
