Today we proudly celebrated the inaugural LATAM flight from Lima to Curaçao, a meaningful milestone that brings our destinations, our people and our cultures even closer together.

During our mission in Lima, we presented Curaçao to more than 80 Peruvian travel agents and wholesalers in a focused morning session that generated strong interest and new relationships. This was followed by a wonderful reception hosted by Alexander Kofman, Dutch Ambassador in Lima, at his residence, where we connected with over 130 partners from across the travel and business community. We are very grateful for the support and warm hospitality.

We are also honored by the presence of Nancy Aracelly Laca Ramos, Vice Minister of Tourism of Peru, whose participation underscored the significance of this new connection between our countries. CHATA CEO Anuschka Cova, together with Peggy Croes AP

This new LATAM route strengthens connectivity not only between Curaçao and Peru, but also for the onward markets of Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. We share warm cultures, shared values, and a mutual enthusiasm for travel and discovery, making this route a natural fit.

We look forward to welcoming many new Latin American visitors to our island and to many Curaçaoans traveling to experience the soul and beauty of Peru.

Last night, Curaçao’s hospitality sector shined brighter than ever.
CHATA proudly hosted the second edition of Stars of the Industry, Powered by ENNIA, a celebration dedicated to recognizing the people who elevate our island’s service, spirit and quality every single day. With over 150 guests at Landhuis Vredenberg, we honored 97 exceptional employees whose dedication continues to define the standard of excellence in our industry.

The evening was filled with gratitude and heartfelt applause as every nominee received an official certificate in front of their colleagues and leadership teams. A special highlight was reserved for this year’s top honorees: Riangelo Jansen (Renaissance Wind Creek Curaçao Resort), Rougenka Stein (Papagayo Beach Hotel and Resort Curaçao), and David Munera (Rilèks Beach Bar and Rooftop). Each received a full year of car insurance from ENNIA, a meaningful gesture perfectly aligned with their slogan: Committed to the community.

Their stories, passion and consistency embody the very best of Curaçao hospitality.

CHATA Board Members Thomas Van Balveren, Averilette Francis, Mimi Luttge, Jeffrey Speelman, Peggy Croes and Jaime Osma proudly stood alongside their teams, joined by Human Resource leaders from CHATA’s HR Task Force under the guidance of Simone Garbelmann of LionsDive. Their presence reminded us that when we invest in our people, the entire sector moves forward.

CEO Anuschka Cova emphasized the power of recognition and shared the positive results of CHATA’s recent salary survey, a clear indication of improvement and growing momentum for better workforce conditions. While there is still work ahead, last night reminded us that our people are, and always will be, the foundation of Curaçao’s tourism success.

Lesley Ann Harms Brodie, CEO of ENNIA, expressed how meaningful it is for ENNIA to support moments like this. She highlighted that people are the most important pillar of hospitality, and shared how proud ENNIA is to help recognize and uplift the individuals who drive our island’s economy every day.
