CHATA Celebrates the Most Successful Job Fair in Its History
Willemstad, Curaçao – CHATA is incredibly proud to celebrate the most successful edition of the Annual CHATA Job Fair to date.
With more than 1,500 visitors, 33 participating companies, and more than 500 career opportunities, this year’s Job Fair once again demonstrated the strength, resilience, and bright future of Curaçao’s hospitality and tourism industry.
What truly set this edition apart was the remarkable commitment shown by our participating companies. Employers went above and beyond to showcase their organizations, transforming their booths into engaging experiences filled with creativity, interactive games, branded giveaways, recruitment materials, and innovative presentations. From HR teams to senior management, key personnel were present throughout the day to personally connect with potential employees, answer questions, and demonstrate why hospitality offers exciting and rewarding career opportunities.
Seeing so many companies put their best foot forward with such enthusiasm and dedication was inspiring and reflects the confidence our industry has in Curaçao’s future. The energy throughout the venue clearly showed that our sector is not only creating jobs but actively investing in people.
The event also brought together an incredible mix of students, recent graduates, experienced professionals, and first-time job seekers, all sharing one common goal: building the future of Curaçao through meaningful careers in hospitality and tourism.
At CHATA, we firmly believe that investing in people is the most important investment we can make. Tourism is powered by more than 25,000 professionals, making it the largest employer and the main economic pillar of Curaçao, contributing approximately 50% of the country’s GDP. Every new career represents an opportunity for personal growth, stronger businesses, and a more resilient economy.
Through our Human Resources Task Force, CHATA remains committed to developing local talent through workforce development initiatives, hospitality training, salary benchmarking, education partnerships, and programs that encourage more Curaçaoans to build long-term careers within our industry. Together, we continue to create a tourism sector that is innovative, inclusive, sustainable, and prepared for the future.
This achievement would not have been possible without the commitment of our members and partners. We extend our sincere appreciation to all 33 participating companies for their outstanding efforts, creativity, and dedication in inspiring the next generation of hospitality professionals. We also thank Sambil Curaçao for once again hosting this important event, MEO and SOAW for their valued collaboration, and Minister Middelhof for his continued support of initiatives that strengthen Curaçao’s workforce and tourism sector.
CHATA also extends its heartfelt appreciation to the entire CHATA team and the many volunteers whose hard work, passion, and professionalism made this event possible. Their dedication behind the scenes ensured another outstanding experience for both employers and job seekers.
