Wow. 🤯

My conversation with on Thick No More was genuinely mind-blowing.

We explored education, labels, neurodiversity, and the challenges faced by children, parents, and families navigating systems that often weren't built for them.

Heidi's honesty, insight, and lived experience completely shifted my perspective on so many things.

This is one of those conversations that stays with you long after it ends.

🎙️ Coming soon on Thick No More.

🚨 NEXT THURSDAY 🚨

My guest is the incredible Heidi Mavir.

A conversation about confidence, self-belief and what happens when children spend years being made to feel like they’re the problem.

This episode hit home for me and bring the tissues

If you’re a parent, teacher, SENCO or somebody who grew up believing they weren’t clever enough, you won’t want to miss it.

❤️ Drop a “HEIDI” in the comments if you’d like me to send you the link when it goes live.

The biggest damage isn't always caused by dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, or autism.

It's caused by what happens when support is denied.

When children are told:

"Try harder."

"Everyone finds it difficult."

"You don't qualify."

Too many leave education believing they failed.

When the truth is far simpler:

They were trying to succeed in a system that wasn't built for them.

For many neurodivergent people, the hardest part isn't school itself.

It's the beliefs school can leave behind:

"I'm not smart enough."

"I'm not capable."

"I'm not good enough."

Those thoughts don't disappear when you leave the classroom.

They follow you into adulthood.
Into jobs.

Into relationships.

Into opportunities you convince yourself you're not ready for.

Because when you've spent years being told what you can't do, learning to believe in yourself can be one of the hardest things you'll ever do.

And that's something many dyslexic, ADHD and autistic people will recognise.
