⚡️ A Prague-based production company established in 2020, bringing together the visions of Klára Tasovská, Lukáš Kokeš and Matej Sotnik.

⚡️ Our films have been presented at major international film festivals including 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙚, 𝘾𝙋𝙃:𝘿𝙊𝙓, 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙮 𝙑𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙄𝙁𝙁, 𝙄𝘿𝙁𝘼 and 𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙙𝙪 𝙍𝙚𝙚𝙡, received national awards such as the 𝘾𝙯𝙚𝙘𝙝 𝙇𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, and have been released theatrically in 𝙂𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮, 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙣, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙆, and streamed on 𝙉𝙚𝙩𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙭.

⚡️ Somatic Films is focused on highly creative cinema and operates within a network of international co-productions, partnering with countries such as 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙂𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮, 𝘼𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙖 and 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙎𝘼 and involving broadcasters such as 𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙀 and 𝘾𝙯𝙚𝙘𝙝 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣.

ＢＡＲＤＯ ✦ a short film by Viera Čákanyová will premiere in Compétition Flash of the 36th FIDMarseille ✦ Deep breath, experiences that dig even deeper, and dark ambient as their companion. Inspired by Bardo, the Tibetan name for the liminal state between death and rebirth, Viera Čákanyová embarks on a fascinating metaphysical journey towards darkness ✦

Director and scriptwriter Klára Tasovská is back in the editing room with the congenial editor and script co-author Alexander Kashcheev, working to deliver the completed film soon.
