🌟 Heartworm disease in dogs 🌟

🧪✨ The current study aimed to assess the prevalence of heartworm microfilaria in the blood samples collected from dogs, presented to the Referral Veterinary healthcare institutions in Bhubaneswar city, and to compare the efficacy of heartworm preventives, namely ivermectin through the subcutaneous route, and dermal application of selamectin, in reducing the infection risk in endemic areas.

🌍 Clean Water Innovation: Turning Agricultural Waste into a Solution for Fluorosis

✨🧬 📊 Key Findings & Performance
- Exceptional Efficiency: Achieved an outstanding 99.42% fluoride removal efficiency under optimal conditions using just 0.3 g of adsorbent per 100 mL of water.
- System Dynamics: We systematically evaluated critical operational variables, including initial fluoride concentration, adsorbent dosage, contact time, and competitive co-existing anions.
- Adsorption Kinetics: The removal process aligns strongly with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model, indicating a stable, chemically driven adsorption mechanism.
- Isotherm Modeling: The data perfectly fits the Langmuir adsorption isotherm, confirming reliable monolayer adsorption onto a finite number of identical sites.
- Freundlich isotherm constants were determined.
By transforming agricultural byproducts into value-added environmental materials, this approach provides a scalable, cost-effective weapon against fluorosis.
