Presentation of the Journal Soil and Water Research at the 10th Hydrological Days 2026 Conference

From June 16 to 18, 2026, Bratislava hosted the Czech-Slovak professional conference Hydrological Days 2026. The event was organized to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Ing. Milan Dzubák, CSc., co-founder of the Hydrological Days tradition.
Since 1980, the Hydrological Days conference has been held approximately every five years, alternately organized by the Slovak and Czech Hydrological Committees. It represents a traditional platform for meetings of experts in hydrology, water management, meteorology, and related fields from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and other countries.
The conference program focused on current topics in hydrological research and practice. These primarily included: Hydrological processes, monitoring, and experimental research; the hydrological cycle under global change conditions; new methods and digital technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence; the application of new hydrological knowledge in water management; the role of hydrology in environmental education.
The journal Soil and Water Research, published by the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences, was presented at the conference through promotional materials. Participation in this major professional event contributed to raising awareness of the journal among researchers and experts in hydrology, water management, and environmental sciences.
We would like to express our gratitude to Prof. Ing. Ján Szolgay, Ph.D. for arranging the promotion of the journal at this important international conference.

Editorial Board Meeting of the journal Soil and Water Research

On June 12, 2026, a meeting of the Editorial Board of the journal Soil and Water Research took place under the leadership of the Editor-in-Chief, Professor Kozák. The meeting was held in a hybrid format, some board members gathered at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, while others participated via video conference. The discussions focused on the current status of the journal, future development opportunities, its strategic direction, and support from the Editorial Board members. Current bibliometric data, particularly from the Web of Science, were also reviewed, along with the outlook for the new Impact Factor, which is expected to be released in the coming days. In closing, the Editor-in-Chief thanked all editorial board members for their hard work for the journal and for promoting it at both domestic and international events.
