The waters came with terrifying force, sweeping through communities, destroying homes and separating families.
More than 1,300 people are reportedly missing after devastating floods and landslides struck parts of Nepal and Tibet. Behind every missing person is a family waiting, praying and hoping for a miracle.
Some families are searching through the destruction for parents, children, brothers and sisters. Others are facing the unbearable silence of not knowing whether their loved ones are alive.
Homes have disappeared. Roads have been destroyed. Communities have been cut off. And for thousands, life has changed in a matter of hours.
Natural disasters remind us how fragile human life can be. Today, people in Nepal and Tibet are not counting possessions—they are counting the faces they cannot find.
🕯️ May the missing be found. May those who have lost loved ones find strength. And may rescue teams reach those still trapped.
