What nobody tells you before going to NYC:
• everything moves extremely fast 😩
• distances on Google Maps can be very misleading
• the subway becomes your best friend
• every neighborhood has its own energy
• you’ll constantly find yourself looking up
• walking 20k steps a day starts feeling normal
• Times Square is impressive… but NYC is so much more than that
• rooftops and sunsets feel different depending on the neighborhood
• the city feels even more cinematic in real life
• sometimes the best moments happen when you leave without a plan
Visiting New York for the first time is accepting that you’ll feel overwhelmed for a few days… and that’s exactly what makes the city special.
It’s not just a city.
It’s a constant feeling of movement.
