Sunday is funday and today is a really special one. We are stoked to welcome .berlin with their new EP Dust & Light on Underyourskin Records.
//Some releases are born in the moment, others carry time within them. This one undeniably belongs to the latter. Having matured and grown over the years, an emotional and sonic bouquet blossoms within these two tracks, reaching far beyond classic club music.
It is an homage to farewells and new beginnings, to moments past and those yet to come. The release presents a hybrid sonic aesthetic of diverse musical identities: electronic structures merge with organic elements, while underlying rock influences and traditional Sufi vocals fuse into a beautifully cohesive whole. The guitar, in particular, adds Middle Eastern-tinged accents; it acts as the narrative element that gives the tracks, especially „Dune“, an unmistakable signature.
What carries this release, beyond a shared love for electronic music, is its profound openness. Through their music, Saraab create a gentle atmosphere of reassurance,a safe space where listeners can find room for their own emotions. Living in the moment.
A work about origins and the present, memory and momentum. Or, simply put: music that doesn’t explain, but resonates.
