I’ve never been much of a reader.
As a child, I preferred listening to my sister read — or just flipping through the pictures.
Fast forward to today, even while on a break, I still struggle to find time or focus for anything “productive.”
Why?
Because I’m raising a preschooler and a newborn — living abroad, with no family support, and a strict no-screen policy at home. Every day is full of play, chaos, giggles, demands, and messes. Can you relate?
So we’ve designed our life intentionally.
We outsource what we can — cleaning, groceries, shopping — so our energy goes to what matters most: our kids and our health.
But amidst all the poking, playing, and lullabies, one thing that makes me feel accomplished?
📚 Reading books.
Not scrolling on Instagram.
Reading lets me pause and reflect — even if it’s just a single page.
After 12 years of experience (10 of them working in German, across startups and large companies), I’ve realized something:
👉 These books are gold.
Every idea, framework, and story helps me reflect:
What did I do right?
What could I have done differently?
What should I try next?
Here’s what I’ll be sharing going forward:
✨ Thoughts from the books I read — as they relate to work, life, and personal growth
✨ What to keep doing
✨ When to pivot
✨ How to get better
If you're:
✔️ Living or moving abroad
✔️ Starting your career
✔️ Stuck in a career crisis
✔️ Transitioning — to a new job, a freer life, or more meaningful work
… then I believe you’ll find value in following along.
Have a question on any of the above? Ask me and I am happy to answer :) or just comment where you are currently in your journey.
Let’s learn together.
