Iโve never been much of a reader.
As a child, I preferred listening to my sister read โ or just flipping through the pictures.
Fast forward to today, even while on a break, I still struggle to find time or focus for anything โproductive.โ
Why?
Because Iโm raising a preschooler and a newborn โ living abroad, with no family support, and a strict no-screen policy at home. Every day is full of play, chaos, giggles, demands, and messes. Can you relate?
So weโve designed our life intentionally.
We outsource what we can โ cleaning, groceries, shopping โ so our energy goes to what matters most: our kids and our health.
But amidst all the poking, playing, and lullabies, one thing that makes me feel accomplished?
๐ Reading books.
Not scrolling on Instagram.
Reading lets me pause and reflect โ even if itโs just a single page.
After 12 years of experience (10 of them working in German, across startups and large companies), Iโve realized something:
๐ These books are gold.
Every idea, framework, and story helps me reflect:
What did I do right?
What could I have done differently?
What should I try next?
Hereโs what Iโll be sharing going forward:
โจ Thoughts from the books I read โ as they relate to work, life, and personal growth
โจ What to keep doing
โจ When to pivot
โจ How to get better
If you're:
โ๏ธ Living or moving abroad
โ๏ธ Starting your career
โ๏ธ Stuck in a career crisis
โ๏ธ Transitioning โ to a new job, a freer life, or more meaningful work
โฆ then I believe youโll find value in following along.
Have a question on any of the above? Ask me and I am happy to answer :) or just comment where you are currently in your journey.
Letโs learn together.
