Let the Music Play Games, is a Creative Europe-supported consortium aimed at developing “a comprehensive understanding of the value chains and practices in both the music and video game industries” and at “raising awareness and bridging knowledge gaps between professionals in both fields”.
For their project’s quantitative research, they are running a survey with questions on income and remuneration, collective management, and handling the rights (for compositions for video games as well as beyond). Please fill the survey before Monday 9th. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZFTNTRP

The consortium consists of Music Finland (Finland), CNM - Centre national de la musique (France), Music Innovation Hub (Italy), Mica - Music Austria (Austria), and SpielFabrique (Germany).

An amazing weekend is behind us and we still can't get over all the different impressions, great conversations, and seminars at the Nordische Botschaften and The European Film Market for the 2025 Nordic Film Music Days. 🧡

And let's not forget the HARPA Award that went to Kåre Christoffer Vestrheim, Kristoffer Lo, Andréa Louise Horstad & Eivind Helgerød for their incredible score in "Makta" 🏆

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who worked on making Nordic Film Music Days great and we hope to see you all again next year!

Celebrate excellence in Nordic film music at the HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award Night! Join us as we honor the five nominated composers and their outstanding scores for feature films, documentaries, and TV series. The evening will culminate in the announcement of this year’s winner — the Nordic composer who has delivered the most exceptional work.

✨ Hosts of the evening:

🏆 Eðvarð Egilsson (IS), the 2024 HARPA Award Recipient, composer for Smoke Sauna Sisterhood (winner of 'Best Documentary' at the European Film Awards and the Director’s Award at Sundance) and Quake. With a background in classical composition and a decade in Los Angeles, Eðvarð blends electronic influences with classical techniques to create emotive and intricate soundscapes.
🎤 Hanna-Greth Peetson (EST), Music Meets Film Project Manager at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, who fosters collaborations between music and film while supporting composers in the industry.
