BOOM 💥: Department of State Services (DSS) reportedly left over 60 suspected bandits dead in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Among those reportedly killed were notorious bandit kingpin Idi Abasu Aiki and 14 of his top commanders.

According to security sources, more than 200 armed bandits, assisted by fighters linked to Ado Aleru's group from Zamfara State, had stormed Guga village to attack communities they believed were supporting the Community Watch Corps.

The sources said the attack was also intended as a revenge mission after bandits suffered heavy losses in Dawan Laila village last month.

However, the DSS reportedly received intelligence ahead of the attack and laid an ambush. The operation was carried out with the support of Katsina State Community Vigilantes and specially trained hunters.

During the operation, four vigilantes and hunters were killed. Security teams later conducted a clearance operation and recovered weapons and other items abandoned by the fleeing bandits.

BOOM 💥: Nigerian Army have arrested three suspected gang members linked to the May 4, 2026 ambush that killed a soldier and injured another. During the attack, the gunmen stole military weapons.

After months of intelligence gathering, the suspects were identified as Albert Tony (aka Chiboy), Temple Eburua (aka Marathon), and Vitalis Eburua (aka Onowu).

Investigators discovered the suspects fled from Rivers State to Oleh in Delta State with the help of an associate, Mr. Abire, who was arrested in Port Harcourt on July 30. His confession led troops to the suspects, who were arrested during a raid in Opaebe, Oleh, on July 31.

The suspects later led troops to their hideouts in Ohaji/Egbema and Umudike Plantation, where military weapons stolen from the slain soldier were recovered.

Recovered items included one AK-47 rifle, one FN rifle, four additional rifles, magazines, over 200 rounds of ammunition, a pistol, and other items linked to the gang.

The suspects are in military custody, while investigations continue to identify other members of the criminal network. The Army described the operation as a major breakthrough in tracking down those responsible for attacking security personnel.

BOOM 💥: Nigerian Army "HADIN KAI" have rescued a 20-year-old woman, Ummi Umar, who was kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in 2021 and spent several years in captivity.

The woman was found on July 29 at about 3:35 p.m. by troops of the 82 Division Task Force Battalion, Ngoshe, during a routine patrol in the Amuda Bridge area of Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State.

According to her account, Boko Haram fighters abducted her during the 2021 farming season and took her to the Suyaka terrorist camp in Gava 1, where she remained until she escaped.

She told troops that she fled after the terrorists abandoned the camp, giving her the opportunity to escape.

The soldiers provided her with first aid and protection before handing her over to the Ngoshe community leadership for further care and plans to reunite her with her family.

The military said her rescue brings the total number of abducted persons rescued through the Gwoza East Corridor to 117 since March 3, 2026.

Security forces said they will continue operations to destroy remaining Boko Haram and ISWAP hideouts in the North-East, although the security situation remains calm but unpredictable.

A serving Nigerian Army officer, Colonel Abdussalam Ude, was kiわled after gunmen reportedly attacked his residence in the Kurudu area of Abuja during a suspected abduction attempt.

The attack occurred on Monday evening shortly after he returned home. The gunmen allegedly tried to abduct either the colonel or a member of his family. Colonel Ude was fatally shot, while his wife, driver, and security guard sustained gunshot injuries and were taken to hospital.

Colonel Ude, from Enugu State, served in the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps and previously participated in counter-terrorism operations in North-East Nigeria, as well as international assignments in Chad and France.

Security agencies have launched an investigation, while the Nigerian Army is yet to issue an official statement.

Nigerian Army troops "HADIN KAI" escaped unharmed after their Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle hit a hidden roadside bomb (IED) planted by terrorists in Borno State.

The incident happened at about 8:50 a.m. on July 27 while troops from the 19 Battalion (Motorised) and 25 Task Force Brigade Garrison were escorting civilians and carrying out a security patrol around the Bulabulin area.

The explosion damaged the front tyres of the armoured vehicle, but no soldier was injured.

Reinforcement troops quickly arrived, secured the area, replaced the damaged tyres, and the patrol continued its mission without further problems.

The military said the attack shows that Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists are still using hidden roadside bombs to target security forces and disrupt movement, but troops remain on high alert and continue protecting civilians.

Me: This is why I will keep advocating for a total ban on using Hilux vehicles for frontline troops.

Just imagine if this had been a lightly protected Hilux in this situation, they likely wouldn't have survived.

A Nigerian soldier, Lance Corporal Yusuf Zakari, was kiわled in action on Saturday, July 26, while defending Manja community in Plateau State from an attack by suspected armed Fulani bandits.

According to security sources, troops deployed to stop the attackers came under heavy gunfire after making contact with the armed men in Manja Forest at about 1:25 p.m.

During the fierce gun battle, Lance Corporal Zakari was fatally wounded while defending his fellow soldiers and civilians. The attackers also reportedly seized his rifle before fleeing.

Military reinforcements have since been deployed to pursue the attackers and recover the stolen weapon.

Preliminary intelligence suggests the attackers were a combination of Fulani militias from Plateau State and armed bandits from neighbouring Nasarawa State, although investigations are still ongoing.

The military said the soldier's sacrifice helped prevent the attackers from overrunning Manja community, potentially saving many civilian lives. Follow-up operations are continuing to track down those responsible.

Your offence is that this car is not registered. A dealer plate number is different.
