2025 marked a milestone year for !K7 — our 40th anniversary, alongside 30 years of DJ-Kicks. It was also a year that began with profound loss, as we said goodbye to our founder, Horst Weidenmüller. His vision, curiosity, and unwavering belief in artists shaped the very essence of what !K7 has been for four decades.

Against that backdrop, the way our community came together meant more than we can properly put into words. You all helped turn these anniversaries into something truly special and meaningful — with unforgettable gatherings in Berlin at .green, in Amsterdam during , and in London at .

To say thank you, we went deep into the !K740 vaults. What follows are previously unseen testimonies of time — fragments of our shared history, preserved and now brought back into the light.

Thank you to all the artists, fans and music lovers for carrying this journey forward with us. We look forward to sharing much more amazing music and moments on the dancefloor.

Thirty years after its initial release and newly-remastered, Mish Mash is available online for the first time.

The title Mish Mash came early on in the process as they had already decided to showcase a whole raft of different styles which were only united by their diversity, spanning Drum & bass, techno, deep house, hip hop, funk, beats, incidental music, cop themes, and end titles – all were grist to their creative mill at that time.

The intention was to create 74 minutes of music – the optimum amount for a CD, which spanned six sides of vinyl.

In many ways a time capsule, the album is somehow still pushing boundaries to this day.
