The contract for the Aybak Cement Plant project in Feroz Nakhchir district of Samangan province has been signed between the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum and Aybak Cement Company, with a total investment of $67 million.

Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, said the agreement has been concluded for 30 years and is expected to create jobs for 600 people upon commencement of operations.

He added that the plant will have a daily production capacity of 1,200 tons of cement.

The ministry stated that the released individuals entered Afghanistan through the Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings. After receiving initial humanitarian assistance, they were transported to their respective home provinces.
