A beautiful reminder that even far from home, Filipino community and culture stay alive.

Grateful to have been part of the Filipino-German Cooking Class in Berlin which was organized through the collaboration of OWWA, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), and the Philippine Embassy in Berlin — bringing together Filipinos through culture, community, and food.

It was such a nice experience meeting fellow kababayans, sharing stories, and celebrating a piece of home even while living abroad.

Kung feeling mo walang nangyayari…
baka kailangan mo lang tumingin ulit.
Baka mas malayo ka na kaysa sa iniisip mo......

May time na feeling ko… wala akong progress.
Parang ang hirap pa rin ng lahat.
Yung language.
Yung work.
Yung adjustment.

Tapos napapaisip ka,
“Bakit parang wala pa ring nagbabago?”

Pero slowly… may mga napansin ako.

Mas nakakaintindi na ako kahit konti.
Mas kampante na ako sa work.
Mas kaya ko na yung mga bagay na dati nahihirapan ako.

Hindi siya malaking achievement.
Hindi siya obvious.

Pero progress pa rin.

Minsan, ganito talaga ang growth—
tahimik, mabagal, at madaling i-overlook.

Lalo na kapag nasa ibang bansa ka,
at binubuo mo ulit yung sarili mo.

So kung feeling mo walang nangyayari…
baka kailangan mo lang tumingin ulit.

Baka mas malayo ka na kaysa sa iniisip mo ❤️❤️❤️
