Clubbing, Techno and it's scene. The pure and deep connection between music and people, the emotions shared, the time spent together dancing, laughing and talking was not only just a Party, but my Passion, Hobby and Love thorwards and with the scene. The atmosphere was so calm, I never experienced just one physical fight, the drugs were an extra and not the Main Focus of the music and people did not abuse anyone, physical, sexual or mentaly. Of course it had it's bad days and dark hours with very bad moments but it was overall like a short 8 hour vacation trip. And today? Nothing, not even remotly close to that. The scene is absolutly fu**ed up in terms of musical development, the people gather in groups under themselfs and well, it is not fun anymore. Party, dancing and being lost in the music should be there to releax, not to feel empty afterwards. Social Media killed the Techno Scene and is about to kill the Drum and Bass scene as well. As a DJ since 2011 (!) I did experience many shifts in music but non was this fu**ed up than the one in the Techno Scene. My Hobby of producing sparked for a moment but it is and always was a hobby, same as DJ'ing in general but the spark dying fast. I dont see a comeback to the old days of respect, care, love and real passion thorwards the music. I did play International as well as National as a DJ and people always complimented my Sets and even came up to me asking where they can listen to such music and mixing, when I played progressive Techno, Melodic or Deep House. It was powerful, yet not too simple and people danced for and with the music, not because it is a TikTok trend. I am not nostalgic, I am reflecting the throuth. If I knew, that the scene would development like this during Covid, I would have wished for Clubs just staying closed. It was different right after Covid but since the music shifted to this TikTok Bu****it, I gave up even looking for decent Events.
