dublab was founded in Los Angeles in 1999, and has been broadcasting live eversince. Our idea is as simple as beautiful: To bring a range of interesting music that is often overlooked to dedicated listeners and readers across the globe. dublab.de is the german leg of the mothership from Los Angeles, and has been launched in April 2015 to highlight the variety of quality music coming from and happening in Germany, past, present and future.

Join us for an evening of on-the-spot improvisation by some of Cologne's most interesting music characters, incl. members of dublab favorites Drums Off Chaos, Dunkelziffer, Phantom Band, Peak Of Normal and others. Not to be missed!

Incoming: Sixth and last episode of the Jazzkonferenz radio format for this year, live from Hansaring tomorrow!

With only a few weeks left in 2024 the Jazzkonferenz looks back on a turbulent year. Globally, nationally, and taking into consideration the recently announced budget cuts for cultural projects in Cologne - also locally. It's not all doom and gloom though. Exciting releaases, a plethora of glowing cultural events, concerts and initiatives - time to talk about it all. Our guests this month: Greek bassist Athina Kontou, journalist, DJ and radio presenter Maike de Buhr (WDR / Deutschlandfunk / Musikexpress), and WDR3 editor & presenter Niklas Rudolph.

For this last program of 2024 we invite our guest to share their personal favorites: Which concerts or festivals were particularly memorable? What albums would be in your top 5? And what are your expectations for 2025?

Tomorrow, special one incoming. Cologne based record label SPA Recordings is taking over the dublab airwaves from 4-9pm, ahead of their nights at Salon des Amateurs in DUS and Jaki in CGN on Saturday.

The 5hr radio takeover features a varied line-up including guests from Swiss label & event series "Somatic Rituals", local friends and some of the driving forces behind the SPA label. Expect attention to detail, texture, depth, atmosphere, bass, moody introspection, and unique sonic landscapes. Very much looking forward to this one, tune in!

Melting Pot Music on visit in our shop on Saturday! Join Ray Lozano and the crew to celebrate the vinyl release of Ray 's album “Pairing Mode”, initially out in 2023 and now available on vinyl for the very first time.

Drop by from 3-6pm for drinks & music selected by Olski & Parissa, new / old / rare MPM stuff and of course, the LP by Ray who will be joining us as well and invites everyone to hang out and say hi. Looking forward!
