augenschein Filmproduktion was founded in 2008 by Jonas Katzenstein and Maximilian Leo. Based in Cologne, Germany, augenschein focuses on international co-productions and national first-time directors. Our material is characterized by its atmospheric density, plots closely following the characters, and emotionally consistent narratives. We make movies about socially relevant topics that leave a lasting impression on the audience - whether they are deep and dramatic, pleasantly mad or darkly funny.
