From 14–17 September, we’ll be at the ACI-NA Annual Conference & Exhibition 2026, bringing together more than 2,000 airport industry professionals from across North America and beyond.

Hosted by Philadelphia International Airport, the conference will explore the issues shaping the future of airports — from infrastructure and capacity to AI, workforce development and passenger experience.

We look forward to meeting airport leaders, partners and friends in Philadelphia and bringing the conversations from the conference to our international audience.

✈️ Egypt’s Next Chapter in Global Aviation

At the ACI World Airport Experience Summit 2026 in Istanbul, Aviation-Event spoke with a senior Egyptian aviation representative about the country’s growing role in global aviation and its ambitious airport development plans.

From strengthening Egypt’s global presence to hosting the ACI World General Assembly in Sharm El-Sheikh in October 2027, Egypt is positioning itself for the next phase of international aviation growth.

A key part of this vision is the development of Terminal 4 at Cairo International Airport, which is planned to add 40 million passengers of annual capacity, with scalability to 65 million passengers per year.

A clear message from Istanbul: Egypt is preparing for the future of aviation with connectivity, capacity and global recognition at the centre of its strategy.

✈️ Aviation Resilience: Travel Demand Remains Strong

At the ACI World Airport Experience Summit 2026 in Istanbul, Justin Erbacci, Director General of ACI World, highlights the continued resilience of global air travel despite ongoing challenges.

“The airline industry has remained resilient,” with people continuing to travel and aircraft returning to regular service across markets worldwide.

Even in the Middle East, traffic and the number of flights operating to and from the region have increased significantly. With connectivity continuing to expand, passengers can still reach destinations around the world.

Looking ahead, Erbacci expects this momentum to continue through the end of the year — with a message for holiday travellers: book your holidays, because the connectivity is there.

Aviation-Event at think differently about mobility!
On the ecological balance of flying ✈️🌍 .fra

Aviation-Event was pleased to moderate an insightful discussion in Frankfurt with Dr. Klaus Radermacher, Prof. Dr. Karl-Rudolf Rupprecht, Björn Simon MP and Dr. Thorsten Lieb.

Radermacher’s key message: A fair environmental comparison of transport must include infrastructure – not just operational emissions.

A great exchange on aviation, mobility, infrastructure and climate responsibility – hosted by PRO Flughafen in cooperation with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and moderated by Marcel Riwalsky, Aviation-Event.
