Typical.
On the day I decide to tell one and all about my new venture into the world of podcasting, John Frusciante decides to steal my thunder and re-join the Chilli Peppers the same day. There’s no irony lost on the fact that for being a drummer, I have pretty lousy timing.
I’ve been sitting on the ‘Can’t Find My Way Home’ project for a few months, and have been putting the final stages together in the past few weeks.
“What’s it all about?”, I hear you ask? Well, let me give you the shpiel.
The concept, or niche (which seems to be a buzzword in the podcast community) would be focusing primarily (but not exclusively) on Expats who are involved in their local music and arts scene. I’d also like to get together with German musicians and artists and share their stories.
Format
It’ll be along the lines of an interview/guest form. I'll be recording with one (possibly two) remote guests, using Skype (or a similar platform), into my mixer, then I can edit it before publishing it on the numerous platforms, where you can then download/listen.
I’m sure it’ll be a bit of trial and error with software, hardware, recording etc, but it’s all part of the learning process. I just want to produce content that has decent audio quality. In the beginning, I’m only planning on recording audio, but may try adding video at a later date. Nothing’s off the table.
So, that’s about the gist of it. I hope to get it off the ground in early January. If you receive a Facebook or an Instagram request from ‘Can’t Find My Way Home’, that’ll be me. I’d appreciate ‘the follow’ or ‘the add’. Any thoughts, opinions, suggestions and feedback are welcomed. I look forward to bringing you something soon...
