Ember Sea Unveils Captivating New Single "Ahab" – A Symphony of Depth and Obsession
Hanover, Germany – December 13, 2024 – Melodic metal band Ember Sea is thrilled to announce the release of their powerful new single, "Ahab", available on all major streaming platforms starting December 16, 2024. Fans can get an exclusive first look at the song’s cinematic music video during its premiere on December 15, 2024, at 6 PM CET, via the Green Bronto Records YouTube channel.
Inspired by Moby Dick, "Ahab" dives deep into the psyche of the infamous Captain Ahab, exploring themes of obsession, vengeance, and the human condition. As vocalist Eva Gerland explains, “It’s less about the story itself and more about a glimpse into Ahab’s soul. It’s a musical painting in very deep waters. And on the cover? A modern Ahab for our time. How much Ahab is in you?”
Blending soaring orchestral arrangements, sharp guitar riffs, and ethereal synthesizers, "Ahab" showcases Ember Sea's more symphonic side, setting it apart from their rock-oriented 2023 release, Kaleidoscope. “The song literally screamed for more bombast,” Eva says, emphasizing the band's meticulous approach to crafting this ambitious track and its equally epic accompanying video.
Since 2010, Ember Sea has delivered a rousing blend of metal and rock, captivating audiences with tales of adventure, wild nature, and raw passion. Featuring Eva Gerland (vocals), Stefan Santag (guitar), Pablo J. Tammen (bass), Dirk Marquardt (keys), and Enrico Mier (drums), the band draws comparisons to genre titans Epica, Nightwish, and Within Temptation.
