London progressive stoner rock heavyweights Steak have returned with a new self-titled album, which is now available on preorder! The band has also released a final new single from the record titled “Infinite.”

Written and recorded as a five-piece for the first time in the band’s career, Steak marks another bold evolution for a band that has spent more than a decade pushing at the boundaries of desert rock, psychedelia and progressive heaviness. Combining crushing riffs, cinematic atmosphere and the band’s unmistakable melodic edge, the new record sees STEAK moving further into darker and more progressive territories explored on 2022’s acclaimed Acute Mania, while further defining a sound unmistakably its own.

Steak is available on LP and CD. The LP version is on 180gr. purple vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve and including download card.
Release date is set for October 9th.

Dear EU customers,

Due to the new “PPWR” regulations for the EU, we are forced to temporarily shut down all EU sales. We hope to keep this disruption as short as possible. If you’ve never heard of these regulations before, that’s shockingly normal. These sweeping changes to how direct-to-customer businesses can sell their products, along with the consequences for consumers, were not communicated well if at all to the public.

German and non-EU sales can continue as normal.

While we welcome sensible recycling laws to decrease the flood of cardboard and plastic, to set up the new compliance laws in a way that it would cost even small businesses like ours a low five-digit amount per year (!) just for the administration alone (with recycling fees for each individual package on top of that) makes it unfeasible for us to continue business as usual until sensible changes are made. The EU parliament will be discussing exemptions for small businesses in October, so we are hopeful we can get back to normal business then.

You can help small businesses like ours by signing the petitions found on our latest news post at Stickman-Records.com.

join Stickman for upcoming album - new song and video “Cometh” out now!

Steak have been a heavy-hitter on the European stoner rock circuit for some years now, having cut their teeth in London clubs and pubs in the early 2010’s and now regularly touring around the continent. Matching desert-worthy fuzz riffs with atmospheric guitars and with a heavy emphasis on vocals, Steak borrows as much from Seattle as Sky Valley, bringing it all together with a grit forged in London’s underground.

Listen to “Cometh” now and keep your eyes peeled for more news about their upcoming record soon, which is expected this fall.
