I saw a factory Kombi ragtop project for sale advertised on SSVC page. It is a project, but a very rare bus. The experts think it was a Westy SO22 bus. There is thread on The Samba about this bus after it as for sale back in 2017. It was really rusty back then, but k most the the rust has been cut out and replaced. Beautiful Mango sunroof standard. The picture is from a Volkswagen show in UK earlier this month.

Photo I saw online of a Mango factory sunroof bus. I think it was from a show in Northern Ca in the 1990’s.

I saw these photos on The Samba. The bus is a 1963 sunroof standard. It has been owned by the same owner since the mid 1990’s. It was purchased from a newspaper ad for $200 and was put in storage. It has been owned by the same person since then and he recently pulled it out of storage and is starting to repair the rust damage and plans to restore it. The bus is is the Seattle, Washington area. Original color is Sealing Wax Red and Beige Grey.

It was a beautiful day in Long Beach, CA this morning. I saw this double door Kombi with a ragtop hole at OCTO meet this morning. I do not know if this is a factory installed sunroof or not. I do not think it was, but it still is a beautiful bus.
