You see, including family members in a political issue is another reminder that as a Nuer individual, you are not safe under Kiir and his supporters, whether you are a civilian or not. You are always seen as a potential enemy that should be dealt with . They can use any excuse to attack you. If you look at it closely, it feels like a revenge for Dinka soldiers who might have died in Nasir. When Kiir feels that something wrong has been done to his tribesmen , he switch to the revenge mode, and ready to target any Nuer on sight whether they are his colleagues or not. This is not how a president who represents all tribes should conduct himself. Kiir takes any fight between Nuer and Dinka personally. If a Dinka loses his life in the hand of Nuer even if the cause is two drunk soldiers toying with guns, he feels the needs to avenge the death of Dinka by targeting any Nuer nearby. Deny it, but it is true. The targeting of innocent families members of a politician is another stark reminder of the target killing of innocent Nuer civilians in 2013 that claimed lives of our loved ones. We are still reeling from that pain, but the perpetrators are not satisfied.
As a matter of matter, the OI in Juba has nothing to do with what happened in Nasir. It is known fact the that White Army is an independent organisation that is not under control of Riek Machar.
I am one of those who want our country to be in peace so that we grow and compete with the rest of the world. But seeing those kind of injustice carried on certain individuals based on lies and hatred for a certain ethnic group made me angry. The government of Salva Kiir is pushing us beyond the limits of our patience.
