There are moments in theater that we live for - the ones that send chills down your spine and bring you fully into the present moment.

Even *more* impressive is when these moments happen while watching opera online, like in Brett Sprague's performance of the Mad Scene ("Steady, there you are") in Peter Grimes from Benjamin Britten.

This past summer, Brett performed this iconic role at the Luzerner Theater with Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, conducted by Jonathan Bloxham, and each time we watch this scene we get *chills*.

Welcome to the first of many Artist Highlights here at Kanttila Management - we're so proud of all our artists, and we can't wait to introduce you to all of them! We're asking them ALL the questions - the weird, the profound, the embarrassing... 😍

American tenor Brett Sprague is currently based in Karlsruhe, Germany, a “powerful heldentenor with a finely controlled palette of vocal colors” and recently made his house debut at the Luzerner Theater in 𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘎𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 as part of the Lucerne Festival. In the 23/24 season, he debuted as Hoffmann in 𝘓𝘦𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘥'𝘏𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘯, and is set to make some *very* cool debuts later this season!
