Flamingos aren't born with their vibrant color, they spend years gathering it, slowly turning from a humble gray to a brilliant pink.
But when they have babies, something incredible happens..
To feed their chicks, they produce a special milk rich in nutrients - and in the process, their vibrant pink feathers slowly fade to pale or almost white.
For a while, it looks like they've lost their color.
But they haven't.
They've simply given it to their babies.
And when their chicks grow strong and independent, the mothers slowly regain their pink again.
Motherhood has a way of doing the same to us.
Sometimes we feel like we've lost pieces of ourselves - our time, our energy, even the colors that once made us feel like us.
But the truth is, we didn't lose them.
We were just pouring them into the little lives we're raising.
And one day, slowly, gently...
Our returns too 💗
To any mama feeling a little 'gray' or washed out lately: Remember the flamingo. They pour their color into their babies until they're strong enough to stand on their own.
You haven't lost your pink. They’re just borrowing it for a while. ✨💗
