Enjoy a snippet from the diary that day:
"One of those days on the road that is almost impossible to put into words.
We rode deep into the valley, crossing swaying wooden bridges, crawling along rough tracks and eventually reaching the infamous cliffside road that Shimshal is known for.
It was terrifying, breathtaking and for much of it we didn't speak a word. Oli was so completely focused on the road ahead, while I had to restart my heart a few times as I looked down at the cliff edge that could easily have made today our last ride.
It was definitely one of those rides that made us question our life choices... But somehow I already know it will be one we'll never forget or regret.
But arriving in Shimshal Village it became so much more than the ride. Kids greeted us smiling and waving, some even clapping as though to say "well done for surviving the way in!" ๐
Shimshal itself is one of the most unique and special places we've visited, the incredibly welcoming & open people, fascinating traditions and scenery that felt almost out of this world.
Today was a once in a lifetime.."
